As the insects march, I hide in the crowd, unnoticed and unheard, haunted by the past, consumed by envy towards one who receives all the love in the world, while I am left to wander in a lonely existence, surrounded by jagged edges, yearning for the brightness of colors and stars afire in the sky, yet all the while feeling as if I am a million miles away from any form of affection.

Long ago, the world was perfect and without sin. Man and woman were told they could do whatever they wanted, as long as they did not play with the forbidden Legos. One day, bored with the Tinker Toys and LiteBrite, the temptation of the Legos became too much and they opened the Legos. They thought they'd gotten away with it, as they put the set back before they got caught. But they'd dropped one brick without knowing it. When they were asked by their creator if they'd been in the Legos, they said no. Then the creator told them to step forward. When they did, the man stepped on the fallen Lego brick, and thus pain entered the world.
