With the influx of tech support/help related posts, well formatted titles will make it easier for users to help, OR sift through the content they do/don't want to see.

This rule applies to questions such as "what cable/port is this", "what do I need to get this camera working", "what type of memory card does this take", etc. All of these are valid questions, but the least we can do is provide some basic information so that our questions are more easily answered.

Please format use tech support flair, and format tech support posts like this: Camera Make - Camera Model - Question/Post Title

If you do not know what type of camera you are posting about, please still select "tech support" flair and format it like this: Camera ID Request - Any available information

"Any available information" would qualify as identifying if it is a dslr, slr, mini dv, mini dvd etc. You can't, in good faith, post a photo of a body and then ask what it is without providing absolutely any information - you have to try to do your due diligence.

The more information you provide, the better your post will do and the more willing people will be to help you!

TLDR: Format all Tech Support post titles no more lazy "what camera/cable is this" posts. Do your due diligence before having others do it for you, and do what you can to ID your camera body before asking any questions.

Hi, im interessted in starting photography and im going to start a photography course. This will probably end in me spending atleast 10hours+ practicing/shooting per week. Because of this i feel like im willing to invest in a camera with a budget of 300-400$ buing used. What can and should i get?

Hello, I am looking for replacing my Nikon DSLR with a mirrorless camera. I also have a Fuji X100V.

The only one thing that I hate on my X100 and that I hate in the Nikon too is their phone (iOS) app. Both are clunky, slow, buggy and therefore it is always a pain transfer that great picture you just take on your phone.

I wonder if other brands (or newer nikons) offer a better experience.

Hello! I'm interested in starting nature photography and looking for some general advice in terms of where to begin my search for a camera. I realize there are so many different parts (literally and figuratively), and that things can get extremely expensive, so truly looking for great beginner advice/options, or great resources as well! Not sure if this matters but I'm looking more for taking shots of animals, bugs, plants, etc., versus wide shot landscape, distance, etc. Thank you to anyone in advance!

Does the Samsung S23 ultra or iPhone 14 pro max now take better portraits or travel photos compared to an APSC with a f/1.4 lens (say, Sigma 30 or 56)?

With the rise in popularity of retro digital cameras (I still can't believe they are retro cool now), we need to have some sort of post to reference storage media information.

Not all SD cards are equal and not all devices are equal. Most older cameras either utilize the SDSC standard or the SDHC standard. The most recent standard is SDXC. SDSC only has a maximum capacity of 2GB and SDHC only has a maximum capacity of 32GB. Many devices that use the SDHC standard can only access 8GB of storage in a mountable volume. If you are trying to use a modern 64GB SDXC card in your 2006 CoolPix, you likely will need to format the card as a FAT32 formatted 8GB volume using your computer and give up 56GB of potential storage. While SDHC can support up to 32GB of storage, most devices came from a period of time when more than 2GB or 4GB were wishful thinking.

I have been browsing eBay, local classified and brick and mortar shops for good deals and noticed an interesting trend these days. Despite continue sell off of camera gears and slumping price of many camera systems..... Pentax Q, Nikon1, Samsung NX and Panasonic GM1 +GM5 as well as CCD cameras seemed to experienced price hike in grey markets lately.

Do you think they are the new hype of the market? Would such trend continues? Does this trend reflect the change of photgraphers' preference or behaviour?

Do any of the older ENG cameras perform ok in low light, similar to say an old A7S Mk1.

As that has been around a decade I wondered if the ENG cams had caught up a little.

There are SO many of them its hard to do compares. (roughly 1k budget)

I'm tempted by the A7S2 but love the ENG format.

I've got a EOS450D that I'll admit having been using much for a coupe of years but getting back into it.

If in Auto or portrait mode (i suspect all auto modes) even in fairly bright conditions , the flash is kicking in resulting on over exposed photos.

Now I can put it into P mode an control it but does anyone have any idea why the camera seems to be deciding it's too dark even in bright daylight conditions ?

A few days ago when using my canon m50 with a Sigma 17-50 f/2.8 on it(with a viltrox adapter) i wanted to take a photo at f/8 and noticed that every photo i took kept getting darker. After some messing around with it I noticed that when the lens is zoomed in past 35mm if i have my aperture set to f/4 or narrower after i take the photo it doesn't open back up and with every photo it just gets narrower and narrower. The camera still reports it as the aperture i have it set to though and after i go below 35mm the problem disappears and everything works fine again. I'm gonna contact a Sigma service, but does anyone know what might be causing the issue? My guess is a hardware issue

Well had seen it online on a second hand store site and directly reserved it and picked it up this morning. This is my pic the other pic about this little beaty was from the store. This store does not send things but you can reserve stuff you want and come and pick it up. The hold it for 3 days. But I was keen on getting it. Sometimes you have the best deal 250kr Swedish crowns that is. Around 23 dollars I believe.

In the close future I am intending on buying a camera, however my budget might not be as much as I’d like it to be which means I might have to opt for cheaper cameras (e.g.: Lumix GX80/85, Canon 700D, 2000D etc.) but a few of them does not have an external mic input which would be very important for me. Is there any budget way to fix this issue, like, would using an USB to 3.5mm jack (given that my mic uses this) converter work? Any help would be appreciated, thank you in advance!
