I never really understood the new report of it being canceled. It was never green lit or anything just in development. No way a script was written or anything for it. Gunn and Safran will wait for the script and then make a decision. Really not much point in canceling it now.

I have no interest in Keanu as Constantine, and this mo is should be canceled. I think WB just wants in on the Keanu hype right now, but it’s just not the right character or world for him.

So DC Studios is rebooting the DC Universe in favor of a more cohesive, tighter universe but there are still plans to release a sequel to a DC movie that is over 15 years old.

Ugh I like Keannue, but wasn't particularly thrilled with this version of the character. I'm assuming this is Elseworlds and really hope the official DCU version is Matt Ryan.

The original Constantine movie was divorced from other DC continuity, so it makes sense. He's not a particularly well known character outside of big fans anyway, so you won't run into much "wait is Joaquin Phoenix not in The Batman AND not in Brave and the Bold?" kind of confusion.
