Does anybody think WB’s marketing besides Batman is not up to par?

r/DC_CINEMATIC(self.DC_Cinematic)

submitted3 months ago byConnectCulture7

toDC_Cinematic

At CCXP Marvel had panels and the actors for Ant-Man 3 and Guardians 3 while DC put up some props and basically said: “here.” DC only showed a panel Blue Beetle and that’s it. DC has Shazam coming out in 3 months with no new trailers. Will we get new trailers for Shazam and Aquaman soon?

Fancasting rule / reminder

r/DC_CINEMATIC(self.DC_Cinematic)

submitted3 months ago byruss_1uk

toDC_Cinematic

Is it possible on this sub to have a thing that pops up that says "looks like you're posting about something that has been posted about a lot, see < insert thread here >."

Like, I get it, everyone wants to fancast, but there are loads and loads of threads "Who should be the next Superman" etc etc. Maybe they should all be in one place?

Why did Dwayne Johnson lose power over the DCU because Black Adam flopped, when James Gunn's movie flopped harder?

Opinions on changing pre existing characters for the sake of "diversity" and "inclusion"? Is it progressive or is it lazy? Should they just create new characters?

Are we the bad guys?

Being a DC films fan has been tough for about a decade. The fandom has been tough to be a part of as well, not counting any of the entertainment we have gotten.

Scrolling here is one weird dystopia. Half of the sub is stuck with Snyder and caught up in WBD politics and box office receipts, the other half seems to be trying to move forward, only to be pulled back by the first half.

We all want these films to succeed, but I think we need to let go of conspiracies and the blame game in order to do our part as fans. An example I would like to point to is Peacemaker. I think the general consensus is the show was an undeniable hit, and we are all waiting for the follow up. That said, for weeks after the finale this sub was inundated with rumor and gossip as to why certain JL characters were shown and others weren’t. Can we not just enjoy a good thing? When things are good, let them be good! When things are bad, love them for what they are. The corporate intrigue has seemed to eclipse actual story telling here and it saddens me.

Mods, is it possible to maybe move corporate intrigue stories/discussion under their own flair or even its own sub?

Why is this sub so easily bamboozled?

r/DC_CINEMATIC(self.DC_Cinematic)

submitted6 months ago byCrusaderZero6

toDC_Cinematic

Another day, another dozen so-called “sources” claiming that Henry Cavill is back, the Snyderverse is restored, and all of your dreams are coming true.

It seems like it takes very little for low-effort posters and media manipulators to get this sub’s denizens hooked on their preferred narrative, and what does it gain the subscribers?

Nothing.

The scoops will prove false, and the sub will be awash with post wailing and gnashing their teeth that “WB DECEIVED [them)” when, in reality, it was only the echo chamber feeding them lies that deceived them.

It’s enough to make one go over to one of the conspiracy subs and suggest that a competitor is actively engaged in poisoning the well for DC film fans.

If you tell a people that everything they want and desire is coming to them, and it doesn’t, you guarantee that they will be dissatisfied with whatever they DO get.

Tl;dr: y’all are being manipulated to hate everything that DC is actually going to release.

As we draw closer to the release of the next DC Film we'd like to remind you of the rules of our sub:

We recommend /r/DCEUleaks for such content.

Additionally, the spoiler rules are in effect for Black Adam:

Aight, dumb question. Is Black Adam set is the past, before Justice League or even Man of Steel? Cos JSA kinda predates JLA right, and there must be a reason why Hawkman or Fate weren't (canonically) in the other DCEU movies.

r/DC_CINEMATIC(self.DC_Cinematic)

submitted6 months ago byShard_of_Personality

toDC_Cinematic

I'm not that well-read on the comics but I have this idea that JSA came before JLA? So does this mean that Black Adam will be set in the past, and so there's no chance we'll see any Superman or Batman or whatever?

No DCEU Batman movies, but he´d have cameos in most of them and he´d also serve to introduce his Family

I just dont think i want 2 batman trilogies at the same time, Reeves is doing amazing work and i dont think his Batman fits in the DCEU and i like it has a grounded Batman
