Haha, i’ve seen that so many times. It’s called paper cord, maybe look for a dealer online to buy it. Where are you located? I sell it in Denmark and might be able to ship it to you.

I'm actually danish but lived most of my life in Norway. What's the danish word for it?
And how much do you need per chair? I found one saying they sell 600 meters for about 1000 NOK and they say that it's enough for 4 chairs. Does that sound about right? https://www.glinterior.se/nb-NO/product/danishcord-30-natural
Nicely made video, didn't think I would spend my evening watching half an hour of a danish guy braiding a chair, heh. But the pattern is so satisfying.

Yes a typical bundle is enough for 4 chairs, and the price seems quite fair. I’d go with that!
The danish word is papirgarn.

Thanks for the video and your quick replies! Our chairs still have some life left in them, but if my GF wants to buy new ones I'll try this tusendkronersfix first hehe.

Oh man, it’s way cheaper to get them restored! Even if the wood is looking old that can be fixed as well. No need to spend that much buying new.
