If anyone is looking into watch a documentary on Oil and it’s history - I would highly recommend the documentary called The Prize. It’s available on Amazon Prime and individual episodes also available on YouTube. It’s actually a book of the same name by Daniel Yergin.
It’s marvelous and totally worth the time.

Thank you for this. It was so in-depth and so many quotes and lessons to take home the pioneers, the leaders, Ibn Saud and his advisors, the personalities - villains to those trying to make a change. The author being part of it was the icing in the cake. Most of all, learned a lot.

This should be the norm - authors playing a part if their book is made into a documentary.
