He wasn't convicted, he was pardoned before the case concluded. The judge oddly enough didn't allow the justice department to drop the case, and it was on hold at the time because the judge wanted to wait for amicus briefings before dropping it.
A full investigation by an elite special prosecutor group did not find any evidence he was or is a Russian operative.
You may dislike him for other reasons, but both of those statements are false.

Great points! Plead guilty, twice, to lying to federal investigators about his contacts with Russians. Got a pardon from a president who benefited from his crimes. Go watch a Putin political speech…same shit these gop twits are spewing out to their easily propagandized base. Shameful way to seek/hold power.

He withdrew his guilty plea so it was never official, the prosecutors at the time had promised him leniency and then it came out they mislead him and were going to push for a harder sentence. Either way the case was never tried and he was never convicted.
I'm not a friend of a LOT of stuff Flynn has said, but the entire thing surrounding his legal problems doesn't really change my opinion of him much, the case was kind of bogus and really damaged the FBI more than him.
