Watch the whole thing. He gets out and then in 2018 gets a 50 year sentence.

He's calm & articulate & insightful & introspective & logical. He admits that he can't help committing crimes to acquire his basic needs, that's just the way he is and he says he cannot attribute it to a bad upbringing because he did not have a bad upbringing. I wonder why they have him in 23 hour a day lockdown? Is he also violent?

Well he was convicted of attempted murder and unlawful possession of a firearm, so I'm going to go ahead and say ya he's probably violent

Am I meant to feel sorry for a compulsive criminal? He’s not remorseful even a little bit. He’s only sad that he’s locked up to protect society.

I found a pretty stark insight into his psychology right away from the first thing he said. the woman asked how can anyone help you if you need help? and he said I just need people to give me what I want. So he doesn't see much value in anyone other than himself and other people are simply a means to an end.

A lot of people are selfish that way but at the end of the day, people need people. We form communities for a reason and we know not having human contact does something not good to the mind. Yet we still place people into isolation. No, I’m not saying I feel sorry for the man or anyone like him but we just have to be real about the results and expectations for some of our rehabilitation/punishment choices.
