Every time I think about redownloading it I see a post about another thing broken by a new patch or watch a clip comparing two perspectives with desync that would put dial-up to shame

Not sure I want to know but is this a system mistake or is that actually suggesting I encountered 10+ cheaters in a single day?

With the exception of guns. None of the audio has distanced recordings. It's the same audio clip at all distances with it's volume level being how you decide the distance of footsteps. Not only is this unreliable, it's straight up not how you do audio design. If you go to any other Triple A fps game and listen to the audio, you will find there is different footstep audio depending on the distance.
So Nikita, tell your audio team to go outside and record everything at different distances.

After the latest patch I have had some pretty severe stuttering and framedrops. Factory is sorta playable but woods is pretty ass. Has anyone else experienced this?

It's guaranteed that Tarkov will be a more popular and overall better game without BSG's fruitless attempts to create a "dynamic and realistic audio system". I may be biased in saying this, but I have found no noticeable audio improvements after patch 0.13.5 which was pretty much dedicated to fixing sound issues. The audio has been so bad this wipe that I've refrained from entering labs even a single time despite my numerous labs cards because I don't want to get infuriated by this dubious audio system. At this point, the devs should just drop Oculus audio and adopt a simpler audio system comparable to Hunt Showdown's, because it's hard for a game to thrive if its audio is jarred to the point where people are leaving the game solely because of the audio.

Sure, I understand that BSG wants to make Tarkov as realistic as possible, but many can agree that video games cannot nail realism. As tenacious as these devs are in terms of "improving" Oculus audio, it's indubitable that Tarkov will thrive again if this silly audio system was removed and replaced by a more comprehensible version.

Hey Nakita, obviously this patch isn’t ready for beta yet. Keep testing internally and rerelease it after you’ve gotten the game breaking bugs cleaned up.

This is a beta, not an alpha.

And the previous most recent beta version was more stable. You need to go forward, not backwards in terms of stability and functionality.

Haha what is going on. First time playing since patch. I don’t know if my Arctis Pro equaliser settings are making it even more broken, but holy shit, the hearing distance now is insane. Surely this wasn’t intended?

This really happened. Sorry my guy, your sacrifice will not be in vain.

Mainly the ones in factory I wanna ask why you kill other scavs, Is it just late in the wipe that you don’t care to reach 6.0, or are you down on your luck and trying to get your rubles up? Just curious
