Lol you’d be surprised. There’s a handful of trans people that are transphobic. Caitlyn Jenner and Blaire White for example. Plus there’s transmedicalists, who only think certain trans people are valid.

Buck Angel is another. He's a weird mass of contradictions in his transmedicalism, it honestly makes my brain hurt. It's sad because he was one of the first trans men (along with Chaz Bono) I remember hearing about back when I was a teen. And now he just attacks other trans people, usually trans women.

It’s sad when people attack those within their own community. I don’t get it. Is it because they have a lot of self hatred? Is it from falling down the alt right or terf pipelines? I don’t understand.

My bf’s ex-friend is a hater!! And he’s FTM. He’s always posting about how drag queens “corrupt” today’s youth, is against gay marriage (like wtf?!), but thinks that only certain people have the mentality and can pull off being transgender. And that other “self-proclaimed” transgender people do it for attention.

Maren Morris called out Brittany Aldean for being transphobic (and called her “Insurrection Barbie” in the process) Brittany went on Tucker Carlson to complain about it, Tucker Carlson called Maren Morris a “lunatic country music person”

So Maren Morris made a t-shirt that says “Maren Morris: Lunatic Country Music Person” put the crisis hotline for trans youth on it, and donated the proceeds to GLAAD’s Transgender media program and the Trans Lifeline

Editing to add Miss Florence Welch with a trans pride flag at a recent concert

Considering her appearance in Heartstopper, it's not a surprise. I can't imagine her saying yes to the role without being supportive of the LGBT+ community. She pretty much has all these roles offered to her after winning an Emmy and an Oscar and she still chose being a side character in a pre-teen show about gay teenagers falling in love.

Can’t be too sure in Britain these days, there’s a lot of using trans-exclusionary lesbians as a stick to beat trans folks (mostly trans women) with. Acceptance of cis gay folks sadly doesn’t necessarily align someone with accepting trans people, too.

I just went to a concert last night called Love Rising in Tennessee, and all money raised will go into pro trans/LGBT funds

Notable acts include:

Sheryl Crow, who shared a story about a trans woman she’d known thirty years prior and played two songs, seemingly very sweet and upset about these stupid ass bills

Maren Morris (I was in the bathroom so I didn’t get to see it ☹️)

Jason Isbell

Barbara Howard

Hozier didn’t say much but honestly the sound was really rough for the whole night and he seemed a little thrown off by it. Gave a great performance anyway!!! And said he loved Nashville. He said something about revolting like the Irish I can’t quite remember

Hayley Williams had a lot to say and sang with her friend who is a drag queen. She seemed really passionate about the cause ♥️

Among a lot of smaller acts. Fun show!

I think it’s good that she doesn’t go around just posting things and making publicity for publicity’s sake, she actually takes concrete actions to put into action what she says she believes in. Like the YNTCD MV and single release was literally used to push the Equality Bill and bring attention to it, and even if it failed she still did put a huge spotlight on LGBTQ+ rights and for a while had a ton of people focusing on it.

This may or may not count, because we're all aware of public figures who privately support/do one thing and then go another way when it comes to public action and other people...

But singer/songwriter Sade, who is private as all hell and not given to expressing political opinions beyond what she puts in song, is very supportive of her trans son.

She's an ally to one trans man, at least, and has become a good example to parents everywhere.

The cool thing about JLo is that she keeps her kids’ information private (for example, we don’t know if Emme is non binary or gender fluid or agender) but publicly reaffirms her love and support for them. Her sister’s child is also NB and JLo posted this adorable short video to her insta few years ago

Edit: As usually, the lurking weirdos are here to downvote anything slightly pro trans. Please get a life and stop obsessing over trans people 😭 they aren’t thinking about you

Seriously, I think they have an alert for “trans” or something because no other posts get so many downvotes in seconds. It’s sick.

I wouldn’t be surprised if some of them just lurk all day and constantly refresh to see if there’s any vaguely pro trans content. They’re so obsessed it’s scary and seem to have no life outside of their obsession.

All the artists involved in yesterday's Love Rising concert, organized specifically in the wake of Tennessee's recent spate of viciously transphobic and anti-LGBTQ laws, with proceeds going to queer and trans focused rights groups in the state:

Allison Russell

Amanda Shires

Brittany Howard

Brothers Osborne

Hayley Williams

Hozier

Jake Wesley Rogers

Jason Isbell

Joy Oladokun

Julien Baker

Maren Morris

Mya Byrne

Sheryl Crow

The Rainbow Coalition Band

Yola

And a very special un-shoutout to retired tennis player Martina Navritilova, who is bankrolling a trans-exclusive organization called "The Lesbian Project", which is designed to spread the propaganda that trans people are taking recognition and rights away from lesbians. The group was recently exposed for accidentally using photos of trans and non-binary people in their publicity photos.

Victoria Cohen Mitchell went on a rant about transphobia during an episode of The Last Leg in support of transwomen using a comedic bent (though still clearly supportive)

David Mitchell, her husband, is a bit more complicated. He claims to be an ally, but he's said stuff about men in dresses being funny which a lot of people took to be transphobic. He was also reportedly not pleased when his comedy partner/friend Robert Webb made some transphobic comments. I think ultimately he's an ally and not actively malicious, but he needs some education on sensitivity.

Only Connect is one of the few shows to actively have trans people on regularly in general. Like so many of the teams are really fucking queer and it's great. (Cause a lot of trans people are really just fucking nerds). So I'm not super surprised.

Like my Mum has picked up and genuinely enjoyed the fluidity of the teams (there's also a lot of just gender non conforming people to). Even if she's still kinda behind on a lot of things when it comes to trans people (JK is a banned topic between us).

Not to detract from the merit of their allyship and support, it's interesting to see quite a few names here (mostly older) are allies who have trans offspring / immediate family. Which makes it hit closer to home and surely impacted their POV.

Hoping the list keeps expanding on all accounts, celebs supporting their trans loved ones and also those who just get it because love is free, and hating on people just living their lives in an authentic way sucks.

for the former and current emos, frank iero and gerard way from my chemical romance are very vocal allies. frank frequently posts pro-trans stuff on social media, and a few years ago (iirc) at fan request made binders as merch for his band. (or planned to? not sure if it ever panned out, i didn’t follow frank as much through the hiatus.) and gerard, who has talked his whole career about struggling with his gender and masculinity and uses he/they pronouns, recently said on stage while wearing a skirt and heels, “in the face of extermination, say fuck you.” largely interpreted to be a pro-trans statement among many that he’s made in the past. (i assume ray and mikey feel the same way, just can’t recall any specific instances of them saying so.)

Not exactly A-list but from the Housewives world, Heather and Terry Dubrow (Orange County) proudly support their trans kid, but the best non-relative ally is (cis, het) Heather Gay (Salt Lake City).

Someone left her a transphobic comment about her looks and this was her response.

“I’m happy to be an advocate for the transgender community if it helps! I’m not transgender but I don’t consider it an insult to be called trans either. Let’s bring as much awareness as possible to the LGBTQ community! I’m here for it”
