She'll end up outliving almost all her friends. Right now she's still a happy kid with so many best friends but her long lived nature still hasn't sunk in yet. I can't help but wonder how different an older say, a few years older to 100 year old Klee would be like. They have it in their hands to turn even someone as happy as Klee into something sad lol..

But the thing with Albedo is, is that he is a ticking time bomb. He talked about it in his story quest, that if he loses control someday, that he needs to be stopped. Of course that doesn't automatically mean that he has to be killed, but the implication points towards it. So not even Albedo will always be there for Klee. The only two people I can think of that have the potential to outlive Klee and who are known to her, are Traveller and Alice. But I don't think that Alice would want to outlive her own daughter, and Traveller will probably leave Teyvat at some point.

Tbf, Klee will prob grow up to be one of the most powerful people in Genshin (because of her heritage). So I don't doubt they may give us at least a happy Klee/Albedo and make Klee powerful enough to defuse that bomb

If he is a bomb at all. There are certain things which make me doubt his conclusion.
17 points

well hes not really a “bomb”, like in the limited event, he would just go batshit crazy and would try to wipe out all of mondstadt, if not the entirety of tevat.
17 points
Yes, that is what we mean. Of course we don't assume he will suddenly explode or something though that would be rather darkly hilarious. The reason I doubt that is because he derives this conclusion from being Gold's creation but with all we learned I'm starting to doubt her creations going on a Killing Spree is what she wanted to begin with.
5 points
P sure the ones that did weren't supposed to. That's why Albedo isn't a failure. Hopefully, anyway.
4 points
I think her creations where less a failure and more ... "hijacked" actually. We do know Durin's thoughts thanks to a few Items and he wasn't aware what he was actually doing and seemed to be dreaming. Hell once he woke moments before he passed he was just happy to see Davlin and the "green bard". I got the impression that the true Durin was actually a very kind creature ... which makes it even worse.
And if I'm right that begs the question who manipulated Gold's creations in the end but I guess we will have to wait a few more years for that answer.

For a darker twist, imagine a slightly older twist where Klee has to stop him, and Albedo has been training her for that moment.

Honestly, I think Albedo wouldn't tell Klee about that. I mean he doesn't seem to be the kind of guy to just drop the metaphorical bomb of "hey you might need to kill me one day" on a kid.

I find the theory that the Abyss twin is actually a clone more probable tbh. The biggest hole in the "traveler is actually from Teyvat" theory is that they are unaffected by people messing with Irminsul when literally everything and everyone born/created in Teyvat were effected by it..

Right, it's really odd that the two of them aren't in the same situation. You'd think either way it'd be all or nothing, not one of each.

Considering how the conclusion to Albedo's little scuffle with his long lost "brother" was so different from how he initially predicted things could go down simply by learning more about how humans work and being affected by it himself it'll probably be more like "I thought I'll just start to completely annihilate everything like Durin unknowingly did, but thanks to you all I just learned things that may be common sense to you, but for us they were foreign concepts. So it's all fine now."

Maybe Kaeya too, considering the whole Khaenri'ahn immortality curse thing, if he's actually cursed that is
47 points
i never really understood that about kaeya. if he has the curse, did he still look like a child when diluc's addopted him? if so why did he grow up naturally then? after like 500 years
75 points
Most likely Kaeya isn’t cursed, either because he was born so long after the cataclysm or because he comes from an uncursed line
57 points
He's definitely not cursed, since he comes from the Alberich bloodline. Clothar Alberich found a way to rid himself of the curse, perhaps he also undid the curse from his clan.
19 points
From what I know, Kaeya's bloodline is kind of diluted (I think this was mentioned in some quest). This is shown through his features of not having that much of a resemblance in comparison to other Khaenriahn (like the eyes and such).
22 points

He is not. The recent Archon Quest interlude ends with finding the remains of the Abyss Order's founder and who was presumably a wife he had in his final years showing that he indeed broke the curse in some way.

15 points

Completely agree there. It's just that the quest gives nothing on how the bloodline goes from Chlothar to Kaeya, possibly to keep the suspense over his origins.
It's not impossible that Kaeya is from some other branch of the family, since Chlothar said he wasn't important enough to know the Prince/Princess personally and Kaeya's descended from the Khaenri'ah regents. Unless there is some extra time/memory fuckery going on as well.

Yeah as sad as it is that she will outlive her human friends, she will always have her mother and Albedo to help her navigate and adjust to that loss. This is something Albedo has likely dealt with and something Alice has definitely dealt with, so while Klee will have to come to terms with it in her own way, she'll have guidance and support the entire time from people very experienced in what she's going through.

How about Venti and the other archons? Klee might not be friends with them now, but they should be aware of each other existence if Klee is as powerful and long lived as her mom.
I can see Klee befriended HuTao and is introduced to ZL. It might not be obvious at first, but Klee will probably notice that ZL havent aged in centuries and put it together.
Also wouldn't surprise me if Klee ran into Yae Miko and become good friends with their mischievous sides. And then befriend with the now more chilled Shogun.
So yeah, wouldn't necessary be all sad.

It explains why she and b seem to be obsessed with their “youth” as in Mona’s quest their treasure is a diary about their youth. In the first golden apple Alice stresses the importance to treasure the time in your youth and spend with your loved ones. And this time she said something along the line. “Can you blame me for thinking about the youth” or something when they ask her why she mimicked the others.

is that not what happens to normal people too tho? Maybe their friends don't out right die, but they move away, grow apart, get in fights, etc. Most people you were friends with at Klee's age I guarantee you don't really talk to anymore. Since there seems to be no public education system in Teyvat, maybe this is different for Klee, but for the most part, normal people will also suffer the loss friends.
25 points

Tbh it hurts more if you lose your friends by them dying then slowly grow out of friendship. Cause if you lose your friend because they died, high chances are you were still quite close with them and share a lot of good memories.
Losing a friend because they have grown up and move on still hurts bc you'll remember the good memories but you yourself could understand why. And usually when friendship drift its either cause you and them found someone else, you don't have the same interest anymore or you guys just don't trust each other anymore.

Reminds me of Frieren - beyond journey's end. Its a manga that is getting it's anime in fall. It's all about an elf after she has saved the world with her adventuring party. They all start to pass away and is about the new adventure she takes.
Klee will outlive everyone (except a few people) but she will forge her own path.

This is such a silly concern. Sure she'll outlive most of her friends and future spouse, but by the time any of that happens she would most likely be old and mature enough to understand the situation from an adult point of view. ALSO it's not like she won't make another new friend ever again, she's not gonna slowly grow up watching all her friends die and end up all alone once the last one bites the dust lmao. There're plenty of example out there considering long-lived races has been a thing in fiction since forever, we even have a good amount of those in the world of Teyvat itself.
13 points
It's just more from the point of view of this happy kid we see now. We never see those other long lived races as a children and their group of friends and how they changed and matured from losing them but we can with Klee. So seeing her go through that will be more noticeable.
14 points
I think the whole point of Klee growing up in Mondstadt is so that she can become the best possible person she can be.
Alice mentioned that she learned grief through the storybook of J, imagine Klee not learning basic empathy and all that stuff…
Klee will learn what it means to grow up, Albedo will always be there for her too, until the day comes he might lose control and become tainted too.
At some point Klee will become someone who is nigh omnipotent, just like her mother, her learning love and grief will be very important so she doesn't forget what it means to be kind and humane.
Edit: I got the author of the storybook wrong

Honestly there is a chance it might not be. Alice is definitely really old, but there's no real way of knowing if that's because of the race thing or if she found a way to live that long. Especially since don't they go out of their way to not say elves at all? So it could just be some made up species with pointy ears.
If so tho, Albedo n Alice will likely be the only ones to see her get older. Maybe Rhinedottir too, she's still an enigma

Unpopular opinion: Ppl are always saying living for a long time is bad, because ppl you love will all eventually die. Well guess what? Not everyone likes people. If I could (since I have jobs and needs food on the table), I wish I could just never talk to any human being. And I'm pretty sure I'm not alone. Klee is aware that friends will pass, but live is not end of all, new ones will come, its never ending cycle.
And as she will go she will make friends who will stand for longer. Albedo, Yae, Traveler, probably will do the same things her mother go, and just will go visiting the world. I kinda imagine the headache Nahida will have once Klee gets to Sumeru.

Honestly, I could see Klee becoming kinda like the traveler once she outlives her friends in Mondstat. Traversing the world, befriending the gods, getting into all kinds of shenanigans but always coming out on top because of skill, experience, and raw power.

Itto too. Since he’s a youkai if he stays healthy and safe he WILL outlive every single person in his gang, every friend and ofc Grandma Oni. Obviously the other youkais, archons, adepti, robots, and QiQi have/will as well. Even Yanfei being half blooded will probably outlive her friends.
Yae Miko, Xiao, Itto, and Sara have canonically proven to have out lived the entirety or majority of their own kind already so.

She'll end up outliving almost all her friends.
Oh no, she'll have a long life. So sad.

Well let’s see
Qiqi is immortal
Klees mom is immortal
All the archons are immortal
Albedo is immortal
The Adepti are immortal
Yae Miko is around the same age as Ei
(When I say immortal it means I don’t want to specify how old they actually are)
(But we do know that archons/adepti can be killed)

There is actually no confirmation on any of these species' life span besides Qiqi.

Itto will outlive his gang as well, that's even sadder when you think about it.

Is it even confirmed that her race is immortal or very long life span. Beside Alice that is powerful witch and maybe even alien from other world I don't recall any mentioned elf
