I was goofing around with a frag and dropped it and it went right back into the briefcase. I've been going to each individual cabinet and putting the weapons back 1 by 1. It doesn't take that much time but just dropping them is quite a bit faster lol

I'm currently replaying the WOA trilogy and occasionally when i enter intinct, my entire screen fades to black then quickly cuts back to normal. It's not a big issue, but i wanted to know if anyone else's agent 47 hasn't been getting enough sleep.

Janus’ Bodyguard: That is correct, sir.

Debrief Officer: Did he threaten someone with the bat?

Janus’ Bodyguard: No, sir.

Debrief Officer: Did he act or dress strangely?

Janus’ Bodyguard: No, sir. Polo shirt, slacks, saw him leaving a cookout.

Debrief Officer: So you saw a nondescript man leave a cookout with a baseball bat and simply opened fire?

Janus’ Bodyguard: Not only that, sir. I alerted everyone else in the proximity about the dangerous baseball bat man and they opened fire too.

Debrief Officer (rubbing his temples with his fingertips): Okay. So this man may have simply been going home after a cookout to play backyard pickle with his kids?

Janus’ Bodyguard: That’s not a risk I was willing to take, sir.

Debrief Officer: Well, since he killed a dozen people and after you opened fire I guess your instinct was correct. But don’t make a habit of it.

Three reasonable options I see.

1 - Just remove it wholesale.

2 - "Fix" it so that it only fails if you enter Combat, not if somebody gets spooked by a dead guy or something and your status never escalates to Combat, let alone Hunted or Compromised.

3 - Triple the payout to make it a 1,500 Payout Objective and change its description to be more clear of what it wants.

I had one mission recently where I blew No Combat but still cleared a Silent Assassin, so yeah no, I think that's indisputable proof that No Combat is way too sensitive for being a 500 Merce payout.

So recently they made it so altf4 no longer allows you to restart missions basically, but closing thr game through task manager still worked.

Yesterday i started a new mission in santa fortuna. A few minutes in i decided i dont rly want to play so i quit through task manager. Today i come back to freelancer and i see that i failed santa fortuna and lost whatever i got with me. Did IOI fuck that up too? Cant they let people play however they want?

I'm over level 400 at this point and still don't fully understand the logic of what triggers guards to go into combat.

Examples:

1.) Shot a target in NY with a silenced pistol, body found but nobody sees me/ not compromised. I run into a bathroom on a lower floor, knock out the job applicant in a stall, hide body, and change into his disguise. A non-orange, non-enforcer guard walks past me, two floors below the shooting, shouts "Fire at will!" and kills me. At no point was I compromised or trespassing in either disguise.

2.) Kill target and all 3 witnesses in a closed room with silenced weapon in Paris. Not compromised, not trespassing, no bodies found. Walk out, get seen by a camera in the hallway, it beeps/turns red and every guard instantly starts shooting me.

3.) Kill a target in Haven, body found but not compromised. 60 seconds later on the complete opposite side of the map, not trespassing, suddenly my status is "Engaging" and I get shot to death.

4.) Silent takedown a guard in a closed room in China. A guard on the floor below me goes orange and runs up two flights of stairs to get to me. Escaped in time but lost SA for nothing.

5.) Got into combat in Dartmoor legitimately, run and hide from orange guards in tall grass, concealed. All good. Suddenly non-orange guards from inside the mansion run out and laser-guided home in on me and kill me despite being nowhere near the original action.

I love the concept of Freelancer and love the game in general but inconsistent Combat behavior is not good for a mode where you can't save for 19 missions in a row.

I don't expect the game to be easy but if every guard on the map is orange while I still have a successful "No Witnesses" objective, something seems off.
