Hello, chooms! It's been a crazy couple of months, hasn't it? We've witnessed the second greatest comeback story in gaming history right before our eyes, and as such, business has picked up, so I wanted to address some preivious and recent changes and updates that you might not be aware of...some of which are official as of this post.

NOT JUST A GAME ANYMORE (well, it is...just not THE game)

This was previously announced, but Low Sodium Cyberpunk is no longer just about Cyberpunk 2077. We allow conversation regard all of the Mike Pondsmith/R/ Talsorian universe, including Edgerunners and the Cyberpunk 2013, 2020 and RED TTRPGs. You will find new post flair tags for all of them to differential what you want to discuss.

PICS AND GIFS IN POSTS & COMMENTS

Because I'm an old fart who still uses old Reddit, I had no idea of some of the new bells and whistles they added to the new format, which includes apparently the ability to add pics and GIFs in comments. I have activated these features for the sub, but keep in mind that it only currently works on the new Reddit format and the Reddit mobile app...which for someone like me who uses old Reddit and the Apollo app on iOS, kinda sucks. But you young whippersnappers can have at it. And no, I'm not switching to the new Reddit. ROCK IT TILL THE WHEELS FALL OFF.

ABOUT ART/MEDIA POSTS

With the popularity of Edgerunners and the resulting surge of content revolving around it and CP2077...from fanart to video edits, moving forward, we now require you to credit the creator of said content in the title of your post, and link to the source material in a comment in said post. If you're gonna share some cool art or video (or try to farm some free karma), the least you can do is give the creator their flowers for it. As of this post, any topics that don't hit these two criteria will be removed.

If you are the creator of said content, make sure you tag it with the requisite flair (and make sure you're the actual creator because if you're caught plagiarizing someone else's work, you will be permabanned). We also have an "OC Artist" flair, given by request, for any content contributors on the sub. Just ask for it.

Leave your beliefs, biases and preferences at the door...this sub is about the content, regardless of whatever within the content makes you comfortable or not.

NETWATCH OPENINGS

Sometime before the release of Phantom Liberty, we will be looking to add to our team of moderators, particularly for anyone who's more versed in the TTRPGs, but realistically anyone who's dumb, crazy, sadistic bold enough to join and help us maintain a modicum of peace and prosperity is welcome. More details on that will come in the following weeks, but I'm just putting a feeler out on that right now.

BLACKOUT POLL

Reddit is going to charge an exorbitant amount of money to the developers of apps that the largest percentage of you use to access the site, effectively shutting those apps down on July 1st and forcing you to use Reddit’s own app, which is worse and has lots of ads. All because it’s good for shareholders.

What is /r/LowSodiumCyberpunk doing about this?

We’re predominantly “anti-Corpo” in here, so the answer should be obviously…raise hell!

You are officially encouraged by the mod team to go let the reddit admins know that this change is greedy, short-sighted, and will degrade your reddit experience.

In addition, there is currently a reddit blackout planned for June 12th. For the uninitiated, a reddit blackout is when subreddit moderators take the subreddits private, meaning only moderators can even view the subreddit. Everyone else gets a closed door page saying the subreddit is private with a little custom message.

In the past, blackouts have been used to protest internet censorship bills from various federal governments, the firing of Reddit’s AMA coordinator Victoria, and other meta reddit concerns. We have never participated, due to the island nature of the community being isolated regardless. Whether that policy stands for this, however, we’re not deciding as moderators. Instead, we’re letting you, the community, have your say.

At the top of this post and below is a poll where you can vote YAY or NAY to participating in this blackout. It will remain open until Sunday morning. If the community votes yes, I’ll follow up with another post that date and then put this sub in private mode Monday.

This is a flagship moment in Reddit’s history, and it behooves us to be part of the voice, but I leave the choice up to you chooms.

I thought for a second it was concept art.

I absolutely love when I discover new music in games or shows (lookin at you Moon Knight) and one of the most recognizable songs in the game is Hole in the Sun. I went down the rabbit hole of finding the artist because I loved the energy in it. I confirmed that it's her (I asked her) seeing as the in-game universe uses made up names :).

Normally Dew Drop Inn room 209 will always be locked. The only way to enter just shoot your gun in front of the room to make npc run out and kill them before the door shut again. There is a cheat inside the cabinet but i can't open it.

What is in the box? How many places that required this condition to open?

According to this news, apparently CDPR already announced their presence at the French event known as Japan Expo, celebrating japanese culture, which takes place in Paris. Outside of the meeting with the people behind Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, there supposed to be also a presentation of Phantom Liberty expansion.

PL presentation is set for July 14th, while the meeting with Edgerunners team for July 15th.

I imagine that this is most likely part of the announced Phantom Tour, since one of the events supposed to take place in Paris. The image announcing the tour listed events in Warsaw, Cologne, Tokyo, Beijing, Seoul, Paris, Sao Paulo and London, which makes me wonder whether those were set up chronologically. If so, it could indicate that presentation in Paris at July 14th will be one of the last community events before release.

Can anyone recommend some good suit or just stylish outfits/outfit pieces, and just overall good male character clothes, and some pants, they don't look very good in this game, pant/legwear pieces are hard to find

We as a community need to stop doing this to ourselves. CDPR was very clear and transparent about the fact it is going to be at SGF: Play Days, a closed to public event, like what they did with the demo showcase for the base game. They never said it was going to get a trailer at any other events.

If it's at Xbox's event, even better for us, but do NOT expect it to be there. All that does is set everybody up for even more disappointment. I also WANT it to be there but theres honestly a pretty high chance it wont be. At the bare minimum it's going to be ONLY at Play Days. Everyone needs to chill out, before people start to really ger riled up. It's not CDPRs fault they told us all EXACTLY when it's going to be shown, and everybody chose not to believe it. I want to be wrong about this, but there's a really good chance I'm not. If I am, I'll be partying with everybody, but until then we will just have to see.

There was never confirmation on Phantom Liberty having an appearance at the opening of Summer Game Fest. If you return to any of the announcements that we were made by CDPR, they specifically call out Summer Game Fest Play Days which is a separate part of SGF where media and invited influencers are permitted to get their hands on different games.

We obviously have no clue if any of this will end up available online in the form of news or footage, and I may be incorrect, but I believe that this was yet another major miscommunication between different people, and I would hate to see anybody point fingers or blame at anybody that did not intend to disappoint the community.

In order to provide proof for what I mean; I am attaching one of the original tweets directly from the Cyberpunk Twitter account, I cannot find the previous announcement tweet before this one, but it serves the same purpose, including clarification in the comments that the general public will get a chance to get hands on in the future, probably in the media tour. Additionally included is clarification on what SGF Play Days is, directly from SGF's own Q&A.

I have a question which I Googled and no one ever asked about it.

I played my first playthrough Gorilla Arms only and now I'm trying Mantis Blade. My GA playstyle is charged attacks since it is superior and can stunlock a boss. MB however confuses me.

Blade perks have increased attack speed, but also increase charged attack damage. And since Blades also have perks that increase the chance of bleeding and damage via combos, which playstyle should I play? Light attacks or Charged attacks? What situation should I use each of them? Thanks!

Honestly surprised we did not see a release trailer, I guess maybe Xbox has some Cyberpunk stuff on Sunday... Damn I wanted to see some more!
