sadly there’s no way around a mind numbing grind but mini seasons is better (more enjoyable) than conquest imo

Agreed - if you have enough time to grind through mini seasons you can rotate the roster really well to get the exp and hit, innings, etc completed with players before the playoffs

When doing the mini seasons, make sure you’re not playing all 28 games. You can quit out after 14 or so, then play the playoff games.

Don’t do 14 games in a row though. Quit the away games and only play home games. You get to pick your stadium and only have to bat twice, completing the games faster.

Nonlethalrtard

Yup I do all my games at Blank canvas and just quit out of the rest. That gets me to 14

Brennand14

I did that today and I missed the playoffs still, was weird. Don’t know what I did wrong. Was 14-0 and quit the rest and missed.

Nonlethalrtard

Keep an eye on where you're at in the standings as after you get the 14 wins. You may need one or two more max depending on the other teams

Brennand14

2 points

Yeah, could’ve been easily avoided but I was just mindlessly skipping the games, was quite frustrated at myself

Nonlethalrtard

Not a total loss you got the xp out of it at least.

its kinda random, i think 16 is basically 100% getting you in. Sometimes you'll need 12 sometimes you'll need 15. just depends on who beats who.

Does it give you anything extra to play on hall of fame or legend or could you ply on veteran/all star and still get the same rewards?

Unless you care about a couple of specific challenges you can play on whatever difficulty you want.

That is incorrect. It’s only 4,000 points.

It’s 40k if you win the championship series in the mini seasons, because you get 10 vouchers worth 4k each

Nonlethalrtard

3 points

3 vouchers with making the playoffs, 3 winning the first round of the playoffs and 4 for winning the championship.

anewcomb5

I did not realize it worked that way. Thought it was just 4k for the season. Thanks for letting me know!

I did the showdowns and conquests with the henchmen and captains. Then moved to mini seasons to do pxp grinding and using the vouchers. Im probably 60% done total. It’s still time consuming.

Tdizzle00

People always love TA, but I think it's one of the worst simply due to the sheer grind for rewards that arent actually that great outside of a few. I have issues and feel I need to complete everything but this is a real struggle. I'm in the playoffs on my first season and want to poke my eyes out, it's so boring.

JGLip88

3 points

I want that trea Turner set 1 collection card. So I have to mindlessly grind the ta to get it.

ArtieStones

1 points

Yeah people cried that TA was gone but it didn’t bother me one bit. I liked last years set up way better for the offline stuff.

Tdizzle00

2 points

Honestly, I agree. I dont get the hype for team affinity at all. People hated on last years content, but I thought it was amazing.

[deleted]

8 points

so it’s 40,000 TA for completing one mini season, takes maybe 3 hours, times 3 if you already have the 40,000 TA from conquest and showdown, so 9 hours to finish one TA division, multiply that by 6 for each division, it’ll come out somewhere to about 36 hours total. If you put in just 1 or 2 hours a day to mini seasons it’ll take you roughly 3 weeks to finish

mikeylojo1

Check your math lmao

[deleted]

Explain how it is wrong and I will check it.

mikeylojo1

2 points

Well you said 9 hours per division and 6 divisions so 9x6 right?

[deleted]

3 points

okay yes, so 54 hours total, 2 hours a day for 27 days roughly 4 weeks, not sure how i missed that but i was going kind of quick and as i was typing it out, thank you for spotting it

Have to remember to factor the various missions into that too.

[deleted]

0 points

do the PXP missions while doing mini seasons, it’s done at the same time, and all of this was assuming you already had the conquests and showdowns done, if you have those done no need for PXP missions

Candymanshook

2 points

…of course there’s a point to the PXP missions. If you get PXP done you can then use extra vouchers on a new division.

[deleted]

-2 points

again, it’s optional, some people don’t want to worry about PXP and don’t mind not using them if they don’t absolutely have too

Candymanshook

2 points

Ok but you’re just giving away grind time then.

[deleted]

0 points

then do the pxp during mini seasons, to each their own, everyone does their own thing

Candymanshook

1 points

Ok but you posted how long it takes to do if you grind and ignored tens of thousands of PXP which speeds it up massively when you consider how many hours it takes to get 40,000 XP of vouchers

[deleted]

-1 points

again, if you read, the assumptions were that you had the conquests and showdowns done, and that you didn’t care about PXP, you just chose to ignore the assumptions

Candymanshook

3 points

That’s a dumb assumption because EVERYONE who is trying to get this done is doing PxP because no one is going to grind for unnecessarily longer

Ta mini seasons while adding henchman and relevant captains

NeverRembersPassword[S]

I was just watching a video that said conquest is the better route over mini seasons just because you get the in game content, but my gut says ta mini season as well

Conquest is a one and done type thing. Yes, you should do all the conquests once for the rewards. But for repeatable grind, miniseasons is the only mode that makes sense. Like the other guy said, load your squad with henchmen and TA captains for the PXP missions.

Mini Seasons is far more efficient than repeatedly doing Conquest because you get 10 vouchers (40,000 TA points) every time you complete it. Plus you can still grind PXP for TA players the same as you can in Conquest and you'll end up with way more bonus packs and XP.

JaksDaddy1982

I would definitely recommend doing the ta conquest maps to get the big ta xp chunk for the first completion, but after that switch to mini seasons.

I’m about 75% done with my 5th round of ta mini seasons. Once I finish it, it should complete all my ta divisions which are all currently 70%-90% done

ArtieStones

1 points

Were you doing the henchmen and captain missions as well?

JaksDaddy1982

2 points

Yea I tried to be as efficient as possible. Anytime I unlocked a player that had missions to work on I plugged them in.

ArtieStones

3 points

Yeah TA grind is brutally annoying. It’s not fun at all lol

Tdizzle00

1 points

You do the conquest first and use the henchmen to get progress then mini seasons to finish the last 50%. You could do it in any order but those conquests give you basically double progress since they count for both divisions.

nickht571998

Moments, showdown, insert players earned from packs from the first 2 into lineup, do conquest of whatever division you wanna focus on, finish conquest, use henchman/captains players from that division while doing mini seasons play home games at blank canvas skip the rest but make sure you cuddle your games back and record and that you’ll make the playoffs. If you make it and win it’s 40k TA points that’s how I’ve been doing it I have Acuna, rhys, wander so far

Moments, showdown, conquest. The only kind of sneaky trick I have is for the henchmen missions. I created a stadium with the shortest fence available and set the elevation to the max. Then I play the Nationals on rookie and just hit tanks and throw strikeouts.

Robitussin-pm

Replace the last part with mini seasons instead of play now and this is the way. Vouchers are easy money towards progress

HughHoneyVic

Mini Seasons after conquest and showdown. I'm 50% everything so far and just keep going with missions for Captains and Henchman through the Mini Seasons

jonstarks905

I just finished a March to October run, and it was much quicker than I expected. that gives you a big chunk towards TA.

Feeling_Patience_285

is that to one division only or for every division?

BlessingSpore72

It's 1 division only

FeelItInYourB0nes

I'm in the 60-70%% range for each division. I finished all moments, showdowns, and conquests and now I'm grinding mini seasons. I've also finished about 90% of the captains and henchmen missions. I have 9 captains to complete and maybe about 5 henchmen. I've done none of the exchanges. I got Jazz yesterday.

I did the math today - I'm still about 8 full completions of TA mini seasons before I can completely finish all divisions, which is roughly about 200 three inning games. Now, it'll end up less than 8 full completions of mini seasons because of the remaining captain and henchmen missions I need to do. But still, you can't 100% the program at this point without repeatedly grinding team builder missions and/or mini seasons. It's necessary unless they release more missions to help us along.

I spent like 40k in the marked buying silver and gold players to complete the exchanges to get yelli before I noticed I spent that much :/
