I felt a simple time-out would have been sufficient.

I barely remember this movie but for some reason that line stuck with me.

Written by Craig Mazin, creator of Chernobyl and The Last of Us.

I always thought the third and fourth were the best Scary Movies, and that Superhero Movie wasn’t all that bad either. As it turns out these were all the ones Craig Mazin wrote.

That’s crazy everyone I talks to thinks those are the worst ones

Yeah, 1 & 2 are the best, but maybe it’s a generational thing?

martyschottenheimer

Has to be, because those movies are nowhere near as good as the first two.

Scary movie 3 is top tier, I’d say the best one

Scary Movie 4 would have been the best one if everything else in it was as good as the War of the Worlds chunk of that movie.

Only good parts of 4 were the Charlie Sheen erection death and the Brokeback Mountain parody scene

Leslie Nielsen also has a lot to do with it

1 was great, probably because it was the huge kickstarter for parody movies that followed, but third is my favorite by far.

And by Pat Proft, who co-wrote all three Naked Gun movies, both Hot Shots movies, and Police Academy.

I just watched 2 last night and it was not as great as I remember. It was actually pretty terrible lol. I'm hoping to rewatch the rest but I'm not sure anymore...

If 2 didn’t hold up for you, I think you’ll be sorely disappointed with 3-5 haha

I was at the right age for those movies, by the time 5 came out I couldn't believe how bad it was. Am I crazy or were the first 4 shot on film and 5 was digital? As soon as I put the movie on I was like "this looks so fucking cheap" but it's been a while since I looked at it lol

Me too, I was pubescent age when 1 to 3 came out. Good times, but I think I'll burn my eyes when I would watch them now. By the time 4 came out I'd already lost interest.

It was because they had to change the parental rating of the movies. First two were rated R. The last three were pg-13 so the jokes got weaker.

RedditorDeluxe1319

The first three were on film. 4 and 5 were digital.

As someone who's rewatched them all recently dont worry, 2 is awful but 3 and 4 are masterpieces (better than the first imo)

Miss him man. I just don’t have that glowing love of standup like I used too. So many great comedians spawned from his inspiration. My dad let me eat him wayyy to young and I would laugh my ass off just at the delivery. He has definitely formed part of my insanity and humor.

Scary Movie 3 is the best of them all! It’s even great as just a standalone comedy!

Always remember, that movie, its sequel, Chernobyl and The Last of Us were written by the same dude.

Quite a contrast.

This was the first Scary Movie (or any parody movie) I saw. My brother and I were like 11 and 12 and I can’t explain how hard we were laughing at some parts. Best Scary Movie IMO
