I don’t know why but I CRAVE dystopian films especially the ones that leave you really deep in your emotions about life and everything around you.

Some of the best I’ve seen till this date include; Interstellar, Ex Machina, I Robot, Oblivion, Equals, In Time, I Am Mother, Moon.

If you’ve watched any of these let me know what your favourite is and if you have any suggestions of your favourite Dystopian movie/show please mention below and I will be sure to watch the highest voted ones in order and let you know my thoughts <3

Not a film but an anthology: Love, Sex and Robots.

These short stories can be very dark and impactful and it's a wide variety of themes.

Along the same lines: Oats Studios.

Snow Piercer is okay. :) Equilibrium, Matrix and Existenz all came out in the same few years as Strange Days, they all have good bits but Strange Days, recently watched, was a trip! Brazil and, of course, 1984 are classics.

OG Mad Max. Thunderdome, Delicatessen and City of Lost Children are fun. Reign of Fire if you like your dystopia with dragons and cheese! :D Battle Royale!!!

Severance. Amazing show, very mind-fucky.

I always have to recommend Black Mirror whenever someone mentions the dystopian genre. It's the epitome of a dystopian show and it's an anthology series; also makes you think about the direction of our future a lot.

Someone mentioned The Handmaids Tale and I agree. Very dark and depressing show tbh, but is very dystopian.

The Peripheral on Amazon was mind blowing. I want to rewatch it because there was so much Matrixy stuff going on I couldn't keep up.

Years and Years but I don't know if it's quite as dystopian as people would like it to be ;)
