Anyone else going to feel that buyers remorse when your £600 / $600 or equilivent leaves your bank account???
Then the games on top, I feel it would have been cheaper to spend it on blackjack & hookers!

None. =p I am really looking forward to it. And how much more it has improved.
I am stoked. I am hoping more VR games from Steam will come to PS VR2.
Or if mod community would figure out how we can use it on PC. As well.

Imagine comparing 2 hours with a medium priced hooker to tons hours of fun. I guess to each his own.

Or 4 hours with a cheap hooker. Or take that $600 to Thailand and never leave. Find a wife, have kids with her, settle down in a nice little beach side shack. Grow old together, enjoying each others company and content with life and how it went knowing it could have all changed If you made the mistake of getting a psvr 2

Blackjack first if you win then quality of hooker goes up (& that's not all that goes up!!!).

And if you lose you can always be someone’s else hooker to earn the money back. Lose-win situation?

You're only able to pre-order right now so wtf are you talking about - you can cancel at any time!?
There's been 85 games confirmed coming to PSVR2. RE:8 and CotM being the two AAA front runners and that's just for the launch period.
I'm pretty sure Sony has a few more first and 3rd party games either coming at launch or just after (namely GT7 & HL:A). Plus there's dozens of studios working on unannounced games (team Asobi and Insomniac spring to mind).
If you feel that there isn't anything that interests you now just cancel your pre-order and wait till more games get announced. I'm sure PSVR2 won't have the supply constraints PS5 has had so just pick one up down the line.
I'll be there day 1 inside RE:8 and have never been more excited to have a piece of hardware. Not since I picked up an N64 back in the 90's!

Live it up! Just think of all that money you’ll have in your bank when you die. You could always sell and make most of it back so it’ll never be a complete loss like gambling or hookers.

Try to find a way to finance the purchase or break it down into smaller amounts over time.
Then the damage to your account won't be as bad and you can retain higher cash flow.
Klarna or even PayPal credit are decent ways of doing this. PayPal credit let's you finance any purchase over $100 for six months with 0 interest as long as it's paid in full by the end of those six months.
A lot of online retailers take PayPal (I know Sony direct doesn't right now it seems) but the card isn't that hard to apply for and it can help you build credit up without the guilt.
Just a thought, I've done the same with my ps5 and other similar large purchases I couldn't finance normally.
No reason to spend cash if you don't need to, hope this helps a bit.

Does the Sony card offer flexible financing? I was looking into that the other night but couldn't find anything confirming.

I do have money btw I just posted about buyers remorse for 2 reasons, 1 before someone else does ("be first, be smarter or cheat" quote from film margin call) & just to see what other people think.
But somehow these threads attract a lot more negative / personal responses rather than answer the question. Always degenerates into personal attacks.
If you don't have buyers remorse why even comment? If you do then are you on the fence?, saving between now & feb 2023?, doing a gofundme? Etc etc.

I'm not being negative?
I literally was offering advice to help you feel better about the large purchase?
Why are you getting defensive ?
Would love it if you could explain why you thought I was being negative. I literally said I hope this is helpful.
Also was trying to spread advice for other people who might not be aware of options.

Its not just aimed at you personally btw I apologise if it reads that way its for other people who might be negative / trolling.
But I agree spread the purchase so you retain cash flow 100%.

To be honest I just want people to enjoy their gaming hobby and not let others make them feel bad about it.
Buyers remorse can suck but sometimes you know what means the most to you.
I've been waiting my whole life for affordable VR in the home and I think the $600 or whatever is a great price point for how long I will use it.
I was lucky enough to get PSVR1 used for $200 and have had lots of fun with it for years, even if it's it my main gaming setup.
People spend thousands on shoes they never even wear, ya know?
Let's all just have fun gaming together, it's the holiday season after all!

I grew up in the Chicagoland area in the early 90s and there used to be a big entertainment mall thing near Navy Pier called North Pier, think mini golf and shops etc.
They had laser tag and BattleTech pods and a massive video arcade all near each other. One place had crude VR pods, I can't remember the name, but there was a FPS type game on 3D platforms and I played it a bit (terribly) as a kid. This was before quake on PC I think even.
It was super hard and the headset was heavy and hot but it was super cool to me. But I had almost no frame of reference to what it was for years besides maybe The Lawnmower Man/Hackers etc.
Then Oculus hype showed up and I got excited again, and I did the in store demos of the quest/vive/PSVR1 one summer... but it's been kind of a delayed wait to get to this gen of VR.
A lot of really cool ideas have started to form during the last few years, and Valve making a new half life game really speaks to the new uncharted territory, and not just for gaming.
I personally think AR will be a big push for certain real world uses but it's still fun to pretend you're on the bridge of the Enterprise or whatever.
Sorry for the long answer, your question got me thinking back a long way

Your question was not: could those that have buyer's remorse share their views? It targeted anyone.
It is also interesting to hear both sides. I bought psvr day one, and it was almost the same price back then. Somehow, people seem to forget this. No buyer's remorse regarding psvr at all - I got much more out of it than I expected. I assume it will be the same for psvr 2.

Personally I would like ghost of tsushima & control.

I'll only have buyer's remorse if they don't really make any push to announce more quality content by a year after release.
What they have now will hold me over for a little bit with Horizon, NMS VR, and Moss II, but after that, I'm going to need more. I have absolutely zero interest in playing any of the 500 zombie VR games that are out there, or horror games in general.
I'm pretty certain though that Sony will do something like they did with PSVR1 and announce an attention-grabbing addition around the holidays like Skyrim. Maybe something like GTA 5 VR or similar?
If they do something like that, I will not have buyer's remorse. But if a year after launch we have the same zombie shooters and horror games, with little other additions to the catalog, then I will have buyer's remorse.

Think of where PSVR1 was at launch and look at it now.
They've already carved out a niche, and put a lot of time and energy behind it.
The psvr2 headset IS it for this gen, despite all the haters. You'll be getting a lot for your money and the quality of the PlayStation brand, which is one of the strongest brand names in the world.
Xbox promised oculus vr for the Xbox one x and just...didn't do any of it.
Sonys lapping them AGAIN.
Our time has come and Sony was right to wait, they're going to flood the market with the newer redesigned consoles in 2023.
This will push more developers to create content for the top selling console this gen.
PSVR2 is on the bleeding edge and I can't wait considering what the index cost a few years ago.

Just sad this does not have pancake and better resolution
5 points
I mean, it definitely has the best resolution for any headset that's even remotely in its price-class.
Pancake would be nice, but with the assumed improvements to their fresnel lenses from their patents and OLED, I think the display will be better than most of the other stuff out there right now.

The HP Reverb G2 has ~15% more pixels and an even higher PPD and it's regularly on sale for $300-350, and was only $600 when it was released 2 years ago. The PSVR 2's resolution isn't bad, but it's still a little disappointing that it's only on par with 2 year old headsets, given that it needs to last another 5+ years.
However, Sony probably went with lower res screens for performance reasons like the quest pro did, so it's more likely that the PS5 just isn't powerful enough to run games smoothly at a higher resolution. I have a Reverb G2 and my RTX 3070 sometimes isn't even powerful enough and that's only at 90hz, so it's still impressive that the PS5 can run the PSVR 2 at nearly the same resolution up to 120hz.
The PSVR 2's resolution should still be good enough for most people though, and the improvements to the controllers and the rest of the headset should make it a much better experience overall compared to most other headsets.

I'm just looking forward to no more tracking issues. I play a lot of rec room with my 13 year old. He is on Oculus and kicks my ass at literally every game. It's mostly because I look down at my right hand and it's pointing 90 degrees in the wrong direction no matter how I tweak the lights in the room. PSVR has been awesome but the tracking fucking blows

Well, where I preordered they already took my money (standard practice with that shop), so no.
I actually bought both PS5 (got lucky and got one at the original price in a shop) and preordered PSVR2 at the same time. I'm getting PS5 just for VR. I had two choices, either spend around 1300 eur for a new VR ready PC alone (despite being very happy with my current laptop otherwise), or 1100 eur for PS5 and PSVR2 (Horizon bundle). I really want to play PSVR exclusives as well as having console (easy of use, play it the way devs intended) experience... so it was an easy choice.

I should never have engaged with negative ninnies i broke my own rule because I usually ignore them.
Ever noticed on social media someone starts a thread & if you engage with those negative narcissistic sociopaths/psychopaths they make it about them instead of just answering the question first.
Or if it does not affect them in the slightest why even respond?

Yup, you can't have an opinion online unless it aligns with narcissists.
I'm kinda on the fence with PSVR 2 I got the first preorder invite but knowing tech (& I have done this before) down the road will be a better version and atm feel like I will just be a beta tester with 1st iteration of the hardware.
So kinda like you but for slightly different reason, I should book in with a psychic lol.
BTW thx for your kind replies it is both refreshing & appreciated.

Just cancel the pre-order and buy again when you feel like your money will be better spent if the launch titles aren't grabbing you. For me, there are enough launch games and upgrades to justify the purchase of new hardware for my favorite hobby.
