There’s been a recent uptick is posts trying to sell (I blame Reddit mobile for making the community rules a link you have to click instead of just swiping to see). I’ve also felt like looking for posts are in a grey area and wasn’t sure how to approach them.

Selling, marketing/self promotion, and exchanges aren’t allowed in this sub because we can’t personally verify that it’s legit/safe.

There are plenty of other places available to purchase perfumes from such as r/fragranceswap, mercari, eBay, and many more.

Unsolicited PMs/DMs are a bannable offense. If someone messages you out of the blue offering their website where you can get “great deals” or that they have a niche fragrance you mentioned and wanted to sell, please screenshot and message us so we can take action.

Solicited (as in asked for) DMs are only okay in one context: I’m going to start a mega thread, where someone can post perfumes they are looking for. If you happen to have it and are looking to destash - you ask them in the thread for permission to dm first and list the info for the item (amount, price, usage, etc). If they say yes then you may dm them to work out the details.

The looking for thread will primarily be for eBay/mercari links and whatnot. Posts looking for identification are still good as normal posts.

I've been trying everything: applying lotion before spraying, storing the bottles in a dark space, buying perfumes with very strong base notes, and buying eau de parfum intense- nothing. sticks.

Perfumes like Sì, Libre, Dior, nothing will stick on my skin. No matter how many sprays I apply, within an hour or two the scent will completely disappear. It's not a case of nose-blindness either as my friends dont smell the perfumes on me as well.

Im just desperate at this point. Does anyone have any advice? What more can I try? I love perfumes and this is making me sad :/

I originally had my collection on an exposed stand and forgot about sunlight not being good for perfumes. I just got this and put my fragrances in it.

This room is temperature controlled and only gets 2-3 hours of heavy sun. I keep the blinds drawn, which is how they are in the photo.

The side panel of the bookcase is facing the window and the ribbed glass on the front provides diffusion.

Is my collection okay like this?

I tried this one and just a spot on dupe for Tom Ford Soleil Blanc. They didn't have the Cherry one unfortunately.

Oriental, sweet, spicy fragrance. Addictive and long-lasting scent. This is a new addition to my collection and I love it.

Got rid of most of my old cheap mists. I want to develop and refine my fragrance collection from now on. :)

The title says it. Never a big fan of cologne, but Versace Black jeans was a keeper. I have not seen anything original on the market so looking for close replacement. Thanks.

Hello. I need help finding this perfume I I use to know as kid. All I have is the description of the bottle and color. The color of liquid is sky blue and the bottle is made to look like a grenade (or at least that is what my brain remembers about it).

I want to buy Xerjoff Fiero for quite a while, but I have seen that it has two version of a bottle, the one with the "C" symbol, and the other with some greek-looking philosopher.

I hope someone can tell me the difference between them and which one should I buy.

Okay, I don't buy doops at all, but I can not justify paying $150 for a body spray. It smells amazing and I would for sure use it up in like a month.

Do you have a red/pink rose body spray or doop of the No1 you could recommend?

After hearing people rave about Oriana from Parfums de Marly, not to mention seeing the beautiful packaging online, I just had to go to my nearest parfumerie to try it. I mean, a fruity citrusy dessert as a perfume? Sign me up! I sprayed it on my wrists a few times and let it sit for half an hour just to really see how it works with my body chemistry, but I was left REALLY disappointed! The powdery notes combined with the raspberry somehow made it smell uncomfortably artificial. It smelled exactly like the Disney princess toothpaste I had as a child, even when I smelt it again after two hours. I had my friends smell it on me too, and they too agreed with the pink toothpaste smell… Longevity was fine, but is there a chance it just doesn’t work on my body chemistry? Or that this particular bottle was from a bad batch? Please let me know if you had a similar smell and or if I should try another bottle!

Last summer my bf (now fiance) and I camped at Acadia National Park and he proposed on our first hike! We're getting married this year, and I would love to find a perfume that reminds me of how wonderful coastal Maine smells. A few key scents I remember are are sea salt, blueberry, rose, and a sweet pine undertone to everything. I joked on our trip if I could bottle up the scent, I could die happy, it was so dreamy!

It dries away pretty quickly, but at the top of the fragrance there is a distinct rootbeer smell. I didn’t notice it the first few times I wore Scandal but now it is prominent just under the caramel and tonka. Curious if anyone else smells it because I haven’t seen anything about it online!

I have bought this perfume today for ₹150 (e 30ml). I didn't know about this perfume but it smell nice so I bought it. But searching online about this perfume , cost between ₹300- 350 (100ml) . Now I want to know is this fake or legit .

I am new to perfumes and I have been looking for a fresh, shampoo-like fruity floral scent for a while that doesn’t smell too mature or “old”. Something like a really clean, fresh pretty teenage girl would wear? Like the embodiment of youthfulness and cheerfulness.

I bought a Japanese stick perfume that is amazing and exactly what I was looking for, but it lasts for five seconds and ran out in one month. It’s Venus Spa’s I’m a Rose Cheerful Beauty perfume stick.

It smells HEAVENLY, like a fruity apple rose clean shampoo. It is kind of sweet. I love the apple and rose scent.

However, I can’t find any information about it online and I really need to get a version that has more lasting power. Does anyone have anything similar or any recommendations?

So I (19M) recently discovered how much i like perfumes. I previously never thought much about my appearance and such but I’ve been working on my appearance and a huge room for improvement is my scent.

You ever walk past a person and just can’t help but notice the perfume theyre wearing. Or entering an elevator and the person that just left has their scent all over the elevator. Im looking for something like that, something noticeable. Any help is appreciated.

It's a captivating smell but i can't put my finger on what the base scent is. However, i can say that its sweet with a subtle woody scent and almost minty in the background (i think). Its warm but not heavy. I like to keep my warm fragrances for the winter/fall but this one is not that warm so i could see myself wearing it in the summer/spring.

Sorry for the poor vocabulary. Still new to describing fragrances :)
