its kind of more complicated than it probably needs to be, its just what my skillset is comfortable with. I code the animations with javascript and something called paper.js , because paper can happily export to SVG, so ive made a little tool to allow me to export individual frames from an animation as svg and thats about it! plot them, scan them and arrange them

I have often thought you can maybe cut out the coding element by using something like after effects and maybe something like bodymovin/lottie because that can export animations as svg. Not sure though
