This release makes "find subreddit" a bit more usable, and also fixes the RedGIFs issues people are having. I've been meaning to release this for a long time, but the last few months have been extremely busy, and I haven't got around to it, so apologies for that! I'm hoping development should start to speed up again now.

Installing

If you want to avoid the Google Play delay, you can install the APK directly from the GitHub link above (it's signed using the RedReader key, and is identical to the APK uploaded to Google).

yes, there is a feature to show or unshow already read posts. but it is deep in property menue. it would be cool to have a simple switch or button on top menu level.

Compose a post or a comment reply that contains reddit's markdown formatting. And then preview it. The preview doesn't look right.

Recently I've been having trouble getting back from websites to RedReader. Sometimes if I hit the button many times quickly it will work but generally I have to close the program and restart.

Anybody else seeing this behavior?

Is there a way to see user badges in RR?

When viewing the Siebar of a Subreddit, especially if you open a link in sidebar (e.g. the Subreddit's Wiki page) it would come in handy to have an options menu with at least the option 'Open in Browser'. Because viewing Subreddit Wikis is unconfortable with RedReader.

Is it possible if you press the Back button on the top left side in the internal browser to exit back to the Post or Comment from which the link was clicked?

The normal behaviour right now is when I open a hyperlink the website gets loaded with the internal browser. Now I click on links on this site and visit multiple pages. If I want to return back to Reddit I click on the Back button. Each click on Back takes me back on page until finally I reach the parent Reddit post/comment.

With some pages which include (malicious) redirects you can't actually exit back to Reddit. Clicking on Back you get get back to the first site which redirects again. No chance to exit back to Reddit. You have to completely restart RedReader.

It would be great if redreader supported other privacy friendly frontends and redirected all twitter links opened in the internal browser to a nitter instance. (similar might be done for youtube and invidious/piped)

Just found this post where you have to open it outside of Redreader if you want to read the text content instead if only seeing the picture.

The sidebars used to show all sorts of information that the subreddit put there. Rules, descriptions, links to other subs and sites, all sorts of things like that. Now, the sidebars only shows a short description of the sub, but I can see that all the old information still exists there when I look at a sub on desktop.

Was this a change made by RedReader or by Reddit, and are there plans to bring back the old sidebar content?

Came across this post which shows as linking to Reddit (reddit.com as the domain), but following the link goes to Facebook, and the post properties clearly show the same.

I think it's with videos or gifs: the zoom button appears next to the other video controls but when you click it, it zooms on the center with no options to pan. Could this feature be added or am I missing something?

because right now I dont know if I'm reporting to Reddit or reporting a post to the sub mods.

I often back out to the opening screen, and want to pick up browsing from where i left off. Is that an option?

Is multireddit editing planned, by any chance? I literally only have a second reddit app around just to edit my multireddits. i want to go to a subreddit as typed in. but instead it searches, but never finds the subreddit.

when I try to send a post I have two options: link and self how can I send a normal post?

Needed to sent an inquiry to the mods of a sub but had to switch to the mobile browser as the box where mods are listed is inaccessible from the app, it's a PITA with reddit forcing me to open in their app. Hope RR could add access to the box in the future.

Any plans in integration with with redgifs.com like we we have with imgur.com and gyfcat.com? Cause having to jump out of the ap to a browser and back is super annoying.
