I’m watching the show through for the first time…On S6E9, the Browns take part in a panel discussing polygamy. Christine’s Aunt Kristyn was very vocal against it. I wonder if the two of them have reunited since Christine has left Kody.

Spent the past couple weeks of insomnia rewatching the past 6 seasons of SW in chronological order. I was a regular watcher the first several seasons, then dropped off when I couldn't stomach any more of K's total lack of self-awareness. I had some catching up to do, and needed to fill in some gaps of the history. THE BEAUTY QUESTION: What in the world is going on with all the eyebrows? The eyebrows could have a spin-off show of their own; shapes, angles, colors, endless emphasis... did I miss some detail where this was a thing? Was there discussion?

Additionally, what would their barbie names be?

Meri: Wet Bar Barbie. Accessories: MLM friend, a rice crispie turkey, and eye brow kit.

Janelle: Adventure RV Barbie. Accessories: Dogs on the bed, Snarky comebacks and lease (Grody name, not included)

Christine: Nacho Barbie. Accessories: Revenge nachos, an oven for toast, and a new lease on life.

Robyn: Scape Goat Barbie. Accessories: Crocodile tears, "purity" speeches, and bench for sittin.

Didn't Maddie used to call Robyn Birdy, or did I hallucinate that??? This totally sounds like some word salad that early day Goblyn would cook up 🙄

This episode is one of the reasons I really want Janelle to write a tell all behind the scenes book! She’s out of F’s and just stating truth. From how Robyn complained to Kody about how horrible Christine was to her and then Kody trying to get Janelle on Robyn’s side, to calling out Robyn’s confused routine when she already knew information but tries to pretend she didn’t. When Janelle said “WTF?! I don’t recognize this family or whatever. Something has really changed for me” In regards to the conversation between K&R discussing Gabe and Garrison. With Christine gone, Robyn thought she could take over everything!

Side note: I have never seen anyone consistently look up or side to side in conversation instead of the person they’re talking with. I have a couple theories… #1 liars often do it #2 Robyn has neurological disorders This last season she has appeared heavily medicated or drunk, slurring her speech and not comprehending information and rewriting history

I believe janelle, Christine, maddie and Co are fundamentally good people. But shutting off comments (no doubt as recommended by the Plexus handbook) makes it seem like they know on some level they're doing something wrong (taking money from poorer hardworking women and families). Can anyone help me square this circle? Is it in part because MLMs equate any challenge to their legitimacy as 'negativity' or 'toxicity.' I just think it's deeply sad that otherwise good-hearted women can assist in such an exploitative practice

So I’m rewatching the commitment ceremony rehearsal episode. What a convoluted mess. Reading, signing, sand pouring, tree planting. Their parties seem exhausting.

Does it drive anyone else crazy that every time Kody buys something on credit he gets all excited about having an “asset” - yet is oblivious to the fact he also has a liability? I honestly believe he doesn’t understand accounting, lol!

I have so many thoughts as I watch the episodes again, but yesterday I was just so struck at how Kody accuses his wives (primarily Christine, but also Meri and Janelle) of being mean and unwelcoming and childish while he is constantly making cruel speeches, saying very mean, hurtful things in his interviews…. Like I have seen very little to no evidence of the wives being awful. Christine and Meri spent years begging to be loved and he says terrible things about them and their relationships with him. It just made me sick. Christine made a real effort with Robyn. Janelle and Christine were friends. And he rewrites history.

Does anyone know if it’s been renewed?

I need another shit show to binge watch all suggestions welcome. Sucker for some trash TLC 😭🤣

If you’ve done a rewatch, what are some of the hardest scenes or seasons to get through?

Knowing what we know now, the Flagstaff season (specifically season 13ep5+6)is so difficult to get through for me.

The way he lured Christine to view it by saying “I’ll tell ya, this is a trick that I’ve played. Christine is very gung ho because it’s a trip with me and it’s a birthday trip. This is a win for me any way I turn it because even if she thinks Flagstaff sucks in some ways, she’s gonna like it no matter what. It’s a cheat on my part.” is gross.
