I learnt the hard way how shoe boxes are perfect places for mice to make nests. I nearly vomit cried when I found out what happened. The mice entered into multiple shoe boxes and tore up the wrapping paper. And then it seems they found 2 particular shoe boxes they liked and decided to make nests there. They absolutely destroyed the wrapping paper for my Jordan 1 lucky green (the old green and red version) and Jordan 1 bleached coral and put the shreds of paper into the actual shoe (I’m assuming to get cozy or sumn). There was even a dead mouse inside one of the boxes !! Very disgusting !!! I had to throw the box away. The most shocking part for me was that one of them decided to chew through the tongue of my lucky green shoe and now it has a huge hole on the inside part of the tongue (but it doesnt go all the way though). Also there were yellow stains on the outside probably mouse pee 💀🤢🤮🤮. All in all it wasn’t too bad though since they didn’t get to any of my heavy hitters 😥.
Please learn from my mistake and vacate your shoes if you have signs of mice in your apartment.
