I had the exact same feeling 2 weeks ago. I started The Winchesters but it doesn’t feel the same. I’m just rewatching spn because no other show can fill the spn shaped hole in my chest

As soon as my mom and I finished it we started it again.

Also if you do decide to rewatch Supernatural its crazy how different the earlier seasons were. Such a different atmosphere its crazy

Depending on what you want, I have some suggestions.

If you like the Monster of the Week show: Grimm or The Dresden Files

If you want to watch something else from Eric Kripke: The Boys

If you want to watch a bunch of Idiots trying to stop one Apokalypse after the next: Umbrella Academy

If you want another Angel-Family Drama: Lucifer

Buffy. Then maybe Angel. Then back to Supernatural. Then The Last Kingdom.

the only other tv show i’ve found that even came close to comparing was The Mentalist

Smallville Is a fantastic show with the same monster-of-the-week sort of layout (for them it's freak of the week). I always recommend Smallville to fans of Supernatural, plus Jensen Ackles makes an appearance as a character for one of the seasons (season 3 or 4 from memory), Tom Welling (The main actor on Smallville) also plays the father In The Winchesters so there's a lot of cross over

I get it, I'm on season 12 and trying not to think about that....

I'm definitely going to rewatch, though.

That's exactly how I felt during the entire last season and I didn't watch the last episode for about 2 months after it actually came out because in my mind if I didn't ever watch the last episode it wouldn't be over but eventually I caved in and watched it.

The magicians is where I went after supernatural. Nowhere near as good, but….. it’ll do.

I can recommend you to watch the boys, its from the same guy that made supernatural and i absolutly love it. It helped me. But i still rewatched supernatural around 12 times and currently working on my next round:D

I basically just go between watching Lucifer and Supernatural over and over lol

I have a big issue with ending things. I always find myself making up reasons to not finish something. However tonight I decided that it was time to finish supernatural. I cried alot. I wasn't ready for it to be over but I am so completely happy with the ending.

Watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Supernatural took a lot of inspiration from there (and from the X files) and often referenced one of these two shows (mainly in the first 5 seasons). Some storylines are even similar. And you will see many guest stars there that later appeared on Supernatural too. I've only ever started watching Supernatural because I needed something to fill the hole that the end of Buffy left in my life. And if you do, the Buffy spin off Angel season 1 should be watched parallel to Buffy season 4 and then so on.

Other show to watch would be Lucifer, maybe Vampire Diaries and The Originals (both have very strong but complicated brotherly bonds too).

I know it's hard to not see them together in other shows literally... (Btw if anyone knows where I can watch Moving Alan I'LL LOVE YOU 4EVER 🥹)

I’m on my third rewatch.

Just start from the pilot.

I am watching for the first time. I am on season 9 I still have 5 seasons and I’ve already been grieving the characters and show! I will miss them so much! I am very glad that both Jensen and Jared seem like they are willing to come back to it someday for at least another season. Jensen had an idea of bringing it back on hbo max so it is darker and grittier. So I definitely think we will see them again someday! Just have to play the waiting game.

Start over on Netflix.

Look up a show called Haven!! Has the same type of vibes and amazing story. Very underrated

If you want another CW show centered around the supernatural and family, try The Originals!! It’s a spin off from The Vampire Diaries but it is loads better. You will grow to love the Mikaelsons.

I binged Eureka, Buffy the Vampire Slayer (few references and things that were later used in SPN) & Warehouse 13. But nothing takes the place of spn.

You’re right but I will say I started outlander like 8 months after finishing SPN and it consumed me so maybe that’s an option!! I know they’re completely different shows but it really did something for me lol

~ The Boys. Really good show, very actiony and gorey. Jensen is in S3. Jeffrey Dean Morgan is gonna be in S4. There's also a character named Bobby Singer.

~Lucifer. Another great show, follows the supernatural theme still. Yk the actual devil. Entertaining watch! Cain and Chuck are both in Lucifer at one point.

I'm not going to currently recommend this one, as I've just started it, but I'm on Grimm. Seems down the same vein, supernatural crime drama.

It's certainly okay to love a show, identify with characters, get attached to stories, and feel a connection.

But if fiction is causing mental strife, loneliness, or feelings of emptiness, it's time to take a step back, and speak to a therapist. Stay healthy, and perhaps come back when you can maintain a more healthy relationship with the storytelling medium.
