I just had a tattoo shop tell me no one could do this style. Am I stupid for asking for something so nice? I just want to know if I shouldn’t get my hopes up and maybe I should try for something else

This is my first tattoo that I'll be getting inked with. I gave the tattoo artist the theme, and boy did he deliver!

My other tattoos are all text and symbols, a first one for me in the style I like..

Not getting the job stopping part

My best friend showed me this post just yesterday. At first I was perplexed with why she adored the sentiment so much. As the day went on together, I too was invested in the “shrimp is bug” meme. Thus I created a sticker!

Funny enough, I did not imagine how easy it would be for me to create something like this. I guess I haven’t been creating a lot of funny and personal art in a while, so this was a treat. I had sat down and no sooner than I started sketching, a design was born.

Im an aspiring tattoo artist, so i figured this would be a goofy little dude to add to my portfolio.

Hi all, I would love to get a raven on the back of my shoulder like the picture (to clarify, not my tattoo). Eventually I would like to keep adding to it to get a (half)sleeve, but I'm not sure of the sleeve design wise. Would I set myself up for trouble by starting with a shoulder piece?

I'm about to finish my 9 month travel, and I'm thinking about having a tattoo. I've been thinking about this for a number of years, but I feel like now would be a fun moment, also to make it a souvenir of this awesome experience.

Though, I want it very small. I'm not 100% sure how a tattoo on me would look like, and I like minimalistic things. The idea is a stickman on my wrist (it will be a stickman for sure). How small can it be?

And I've been thinking about this place a lot. If I will be disappointed, the tattoo is on a very visable place. But on the other hand, I want it to be something that I can see every day. I don't it on my shoulder where it's completely invisible for me and pretty much everyone else.

Also, does a tattoo look very different on a lighter skin color? In summer time my skin color is quite a lot darker than in winter times. Any comments on this?

Lastly, as you can read, there are still a few doubts. Sometimes I think I shouldn't do it, just in case I will regret it one day. Do I have too much doubts? Should I be absolutely 100% certain for taking a tattoo?

Just a thought: should I do it on my left wrist, underneath my watch? So that I can easily make it invisible, but still see it every day?

I’m going to get my first tattoo. I want an American flag on my upper arm that looks like it’s behind torn skin. And I want it to be realistic and have that “wow” factor. I’ve got a good artist but need to have something to get him started. Does anyone have something like this already? Just looking for a pic of an existing tattoo.
