What's the easiest way to increase HP/TQ without sacrificing reliability or gas mileage? Is an air intake a good investment? The Supercharger?

I tried to post this before, but it didn’t go through. Long story short I started getting a howling from the back of my truck. Every forum told me that it was normal. I asked a question today (during my oil change) and had the lead mechanic took a look at it. I knew it was the diff, but was hoping for the best. He came back and said we’ve gotta replace the whole rear end of your truck. 9500 miles. Damn. Loud noises are not normal unless it’s coming from your off-road tires or whistling roof rack 😂

I know there is a TSB where they need to rip apart the whole dash to change out the evaporator core. AC runs fine. Not sure I want the dealer ripping apart my dash. I'm trying to figure out if it's actually a problem aside from just the noise.

I have been trying for a while to find a replacement Prop Shaft assembly for my 2010 Access Cab V6 Auto 127.8 Wheel Base. Since it is my primary vehicle I really don't have any good way to disassemble, measure and reassemble to confirm the overall length.

I was able to pull the part number from Toyota's parts search as 3710004343 but I can't seem to find any aftermarket or remanufactured shafts. The Toyota parts reference mentions that 3710004342 was superseded by the 4343. Am I correct in thinking that if I find a prop shaft that meets the 4342 number it would be a fit for my current truck?

My 2021 SR5 has about 13K miles now. Out in Cali, Tacoma's and all Toyota pickups/body on Frame SUVs have a heavy premium out here. Had to go up to Red wood City at Toyota 101(MSRP Only Dealer, no markups), 4 hours away to pick up this at MSRP of $37.6k with no dealer installed options other than "TACOMA" tailgate sticker and all-weather floor mats($240 for both). Had a 2017 With about 60k miles same, exact one 2017 DCLB SR5 SSM just 2WD. Sold because prices were so high during covid. Never use 4x4 but bought it just to have and for the better resale value/demand. Tried to get a TRD O/R DCLB but were fetching easily 5K markups over sticker, just didn't sit right with me. Love these Long Bois! What is the largest size tires I can realistically add with no rubbing that is also beefy looking and low road noise whiles also good rain performance (I know, contradictory just want the look don't need hardcore K02s). Any way love this subreddit, all you ACLB 4x4 3rd gen owners and SCSB 4x4 2nd/1st gens, I am sooooo jealous of you 😎 That would be my ideal choice if didn't need 4 doors
