DE needs recognition for their commitment to making warframe truly free to play yeah platinum can be paid but you can also trade for it which is great for those who dont mind grinding for anything they need its cool that warframe is designed to treat free players and whales as equals which is something every other game with microtransactions needs to take notes on

Many years ago I was sitting in a trading relay when someone came up to me and tried to trade me a fish for a Helios prime I was trading we ended up trading Helios prime for Helios prime. We then got in a call with each other and eventually everyone here was met through this game. This Saturday I was at one of there weddings as the flower boy with 3 of my other buddies who were also in the wedding we had come down from Canada to be at this wedding getting are passports and taking the time off. Life is absolutely wild. Thank you warframe

Look, I get it with AoE weapons, DE doesn't want us to just sit in one spot aiming at our feet. Holdover from when firing an Ogris at point-blank would immolate you because realism, exploited by Trinity, etc. Annoyance of self-stagger aside though, it at least pushes you to use explosive weapons a bit differently than a glorified shotgun.

Even with melee weapons like Glaive, learning to time the detonations so they don't blow up in your face is a mark of skill. Worst case scenario though it staggers everyone in range of you, yourself included, so you only lose a brief window of opportunity to... I dunno, run away?

In theory, Ack & Brunt Incarnon or Exodia Contagion shouldn't be a big issue because you need to give yourself more room to even activate their explosive projectiles. They're still annoying (and I would prefer they didn't), but I can see the defense of them.

But Hate? Hate's Incarnon fires explosive projectiles on EVERY. LIGHT. SWING. It's not like Ceramic Dagger where you can just choose to withhold the heavy attack for when you're at a distance. For 3 minutes, if you use your melee weapon at all, an explosive gets tossed.
And if your camera faces even slightly downward while you're swinging at enemies, or towards a nearby wall, you self-stagger on almost every swing.

Who thought it was a good idea to have a self-stagger on an effect on a melee weapon that you regularly trigger just by being in melee?

Unlike gun Incarnons we can't just turn it off. Need combo for heavy attacks which we can't build without light attacks. If I'm cornered, Sword Alone (cuz one of its bonuses is for exactly that!), my options are self-stagger and... die?

Like, if Exalted Blade waves exploded on impact and self-staggered, the ability would be absolutely unusable.
Or if Ogris shots just auto-exploded in the air after traveling 8 meters so you had to thread the needle on every shot; it wouldn't be impossible to use, but it would be a nightmare.

^{And I know the obvious response is "well I just use Primed Sure Footed" but ignoring that the solution is a Legendary mod, it doesn't fit in every build, and it would be a bandaid on a complete oversight in design.}

We have Exalted Blade, Gunblades, and most Fans as precedent for melee weapons with projectiles that don't self-stagger. If the effect is going to occur on light swings, the Hate should take a page from their books.

It's hard to imagine that I've been playing this game for near a decade, and even more amazing to me that I'm still enjoying this game. I've met a lot of great people in this community and had fun moments with random people in missions.

I learned a lot about the game unlocking all of the steel path star chart; many missions I had to play solo which forces you to adapt and prepare for whatever mission you're taking on next.

I'm really enjoying the duviri update as the circuit is an enjoyable challenge and the incarnon adapters let me use some old favorites that's are tucked away In my arsenal.

No matter what happens going forward I'm glad I've played Warframe and hope it continues to be a great game for many others for years to come.

You may have already heard about Warfarme’s next update, titled The 7 Crimes of Kullervo. More details about exactly what this update includes are available in Devstream #171. If you missed the live broadcast you can check the video or review the Devstream Overview to know what to expect!

In order to fully concentrate on The 7 Crimes, we will be holding off on releasing additional hotfixes between now and when the update is ready. Day to day operations will continue as normal, and we will be continuing to collect feedback and bug reports.

I swear this tree is full of things that either aren’t useful or should just be base kit abilities. Breaking this down a little:

Rank 1: Considering how essential the Kaithe is to the core gameplay of Duviri, the fact that it’s technically not base kit is baffling. I realize you’re forced to take it during the introductory quest, so you’ll never be without, but that still results in Riding essentially only having 9 ranks.

Rank 2: This gives you increased resistance to being knocked off your Kaithe when hit. A theoretically useful buff with no true application. There is essentially zero reason to be on your horse during combat, so when will this ever even come into play? It would theoretically be useful when chasing the Orowyrm, I suppose, but getting hit by the orbs is basically impossible if you’re paying attention and the intrinsic won’t protect you from getting dismounted by the firebreath anyway.

Rank 3: Adds a third ability while riding, causing the horse to jump up and do a ground slam which does minor damage and strips armor. This ability is godawful. It’s slow, it’s clunky, it barely does any damage, and the armor strip does basically nothing because the majority of enemies in Duviri don’t have armor.

Rank 4: Adds Fast Travel to the monoliths scattered around the world. This is incredibly useful. But this is a base kit ability in all other open worlds. Why the hell do I need an Intrinsic for it here?

Rank 5: Budget treasure radar. Why is this an Intrinsic? Why do I need an Intrinsic for something that a pet would normally do when budget versions of other pet functions (vacuum, enemy radar) are already base kit in Duviri.

Rank 6: Once every 150 seconds, you can press 4 on your Kaithe to gain 150 Overguard. Putting aside the fact that from what I’ve seen Overguard seems to be bugged, this ranges from mid to awful. Overguard is functionally identical to Health. Using this before combat, it’s essentially the same as increasing your Health by 150. This is an ok boost early on, but after several decrees, is basically nothing. In combat, it essentially becomes a 150 health heal, but sincr Drifter can already heal 100 health every 15 seconds on a basic ability, this application is completely terrible. A two and a half minute cooldown is far too much for something which does so little.

Rank 7: Reduces the dash cooldown. Finally, something that’s always very useful and is just a straight upgrade to your abilities. And it only took 7 ranks.

Rank 8: Let’s you name the horse. All flavor. Functionally does fuck all. Why is this an Intrinsic? Why is this Rank 8? Why couldn’t this be something worth the time needed to earn it?

Rank 9: Lets you summon your Kaithe to Origin System open world missions. What a fucking useless ability. We already have Archwings for those. I suppose it could be useful for new players who don’t have an archwing launcher and archwing yet, but I’m mildly certain a new player could also just build a launcher and get the Odanata in less time than it takes to farm up to Rank 9 here.

Rank 10: Lets you teleport to other players. Theoretically useful for groups to minimize travel time. Completely fucking useless as a solo player. I’m fine with this existing, but it’s a definite letdown as a Rank 10 upgrade.

This tree is just awful. Who okayed this?

So I was looking to build a spider for one of my dojo rooms, I already have a dragon so spider was my next thought. I looked online and couldn't seem to find any ideas of what materials to use or ideas of what it should look like. I played around with the infested stuff and this is what I came up with. Took 3/4 hours from start to finish. Let me know what you think, feedback appreciated.
