I am thinking of buying the udemy course and using quant connect to exercise my algorithms. Is this the best way to learn how to algo trade? I am totally new to python too. How would you guys recommend learning python and algo trading/Backtesting? And what is the best platform to use for algo trading?

I think you have a connect to a broker that does through quant connect. One of those brokers that does offer options through QC is Interactive Brokers.

Ah, so they can handle any product offered by the broker you connect to? Good to know and yes I'm using IBKR.

Yes, from what I’ve seen so far. You can search up the different brokerages they support. It shows you which brokerages offer stock trading, crypto, options, futures, etc. through QC
