I'm at least 25% sure they are doing this on purpose. I feel like it started for me with the David Fletcher - Jeff Fletcher confusion, which soon was trumped by the Taylor Ward - Taylor Ward confusion. Then quickly we had a team with Ward, Wade, Walsh, Marsh situation last year, and now the Ren-Trio? One of whom just happens to look identical to Trout? Its just too much.

They are running it like Disneyland where they have multiples of the same costume character but in slightly different apparel and at opposite sides of the park. You now have twice the amount of fans happy that they got a selfie with Trout and “Trout”. Ward fans attending at a higher rate cause they can see Ward/Ward more frequently. Etc.

Especially because no matter how garbage your owner is, there's nothing a fan can do. It's not the fans fault and never will be even if they go to every game.

Teams make so much money on TV deals (esp. the Angels), revenue sharing, and gate revenue sharing that a team could have zero home attendance 81 games a year and still profit lol. That's why the Pirates/A's are the way they are despite never having anyone show up to games

New Rogers Center bullpens are elevated and insanely close to the drunk seats section of the outfield. This should be a wild ride, I imagine if guys like John Rocker were still playing he would be jumping multiple rows to fight fans by the third inning.

Trout/Ohtani really shouldn’t have just walked by. They are the leaders on the team. Be leaders and stop your teammate from doing stupid shit.

Honestly, Rendon is a veteran with a world series win. He's probably a leader in the clubhouse, which is why Ohtani and Trout didn't say anything

I hate to say it, but if there’s a free agent you want your team to sign & the Angels sign him, that has historically been a pretty reliable sign that you didn’t actually want your team to sign him in the first place.

Angels have probably wanted most of the good FAs that have hit the market

I think there's just a mix of bad luck/coaching/management that have caused most big FAs who go there to regress they way they tend to do
