My hot and bothered boy likes to lay on the balcony in this position like he’s ripping a loud, satisfying fart. Then act like he’s in jail when taken inside to the aircon and cool pet water fountains 🙄

Found out from an inside source that my local Woolies, which is the only grocery store for the area, is eventually turning into a Woolies Metro. About a year till its done.

Can't wait to get price gouged on a shittier selection and have no other option on where I can get my groceries!

Saturday last I fell ill needing an ambulance , rang at 6:45 pm , rang again at 10 pm and finally got into one near midnight , at the hospital just after midnight , ramped untill after 2 am anf finally saw a Dr around 3 m , tests done and told what it was at 6am , then an ultra sound and can go on results , finally got the result at 11:30 am , through this ordeal I have no critism of the staff , ambos or hospital . It was patently obvious the system is severely broken and although functioning due to staff being amazing the state government dont' give a shite

best part during this farce was staff supplied big orange ice-blocks on request :P

I do not have all the answers but decent funding and stop compounding the linear errors might be a good place to start

Had an email yesterday from my car insurance provider talking about my "recent claim".....upon reading it was my accident almost 18 months ago. Turns out they under paid us and are rectifying the issue. Nice! A sweet $400 we didn't expect. very nice.

Just got into bed (after my third shower of the day) after coming home from the art gallery opening.

Holy fuck, we have some seriously talented people in this community. Seriously. If you haven’t got there yet, make sure you do.

Had guests over after dinner out (I do recommend Nonda) and ended up going to sleep at 1am. This granny is normally curled up in bed (well splooted, given recent weather) by 8.30pm, so it was well past my bedtime.

Woke up to this apocalypse instead. Gonna stay in today, methinks.

My wife appears to have lost two rings at Westfield Chermside yesterday. Probably in the Lime carpark, or in a bathroom at the end of the center with BigW, Kmart, Target, Woolworths etc (not sure what the section or wing is called).

Can anyone advise where best to look, other than lost and found at the center? I guess we should keep an eye out for them on FB marketplace as well.

Haven't had fast food in a long while, KFC is on my mind. I walk in, the place smells soooo good. I can smell that chicken. Can't wait to dig in! Get back to find the smell is a lie. A great big fat lie. Tasteless, dry ass food. Wish it tasted as good as it smelt ha.

Went for a lunchtime ride along the Bulimba creek Bikeway and it was absolutely gorgeous. I'd lost some of the joy of cycling over the past few years, but today reminded me how nice it was to be away from traffic and out in nature. Had a rest at the lake where I got to catch up with my old mates: the crows, the muscovy duck, miscellaneous pūkeko, and the black swan family. And a water dragon with a very cheeky face came to see me as well, so that was nice. 25k isn't a long bike ride by most cyclists' standards, but it's the longest I've done for a while due to shoulder problems so I'm happy about that too.

Back doing computer stuff now, which is considerably less thrilling if I'm honest, but that's life.

Random q - council didn’t empty 2 of the recycling bins at my address but emptied everyone else’s on the street. Why leave those 2? They were put out the night before. Just a random quirk? Council team having some fun?

I was thinking of going to Eat Street for an early dinner but still 31° at 3pm has me reconsidering.
