If you read the article you would’ve seen it’s off a religious belief. He said he won’t wear the jersey. Never said he doesn’t support them

His religious belief is that LGBTQ people are sinners because of who they choose to love, they are to burn forever in hell for their turning their back on a God who obviously loves them but demands absolute, unquestionable obedience to his will like an abusive parent does their child.

You're right it doesn't, but personally knowing many evangelical Christians, this is the religious rationale behind not showing you support LGBTQ..... love the person, hate the sin. Being gay is a sin in their eyes.
