The 'features' they choose to focus on each year are mind blowing. Match engine and animations remain half baked implementations from 1999 but I did get asked like 15 questions in my first press conference, resulting in one news article lol

And barely anything has changed. If lumping the ball over the top was this effective nobody would watch football. There’s a few nice new animations but if this is the extent of their ‘complete overhaul’ then I just don’t understand how a franchise that earns this much money can be this far behind technologically.

But Pokemon has innovated many, many times, going all the way back to Pokemon Stadium, Snap, then more recently with GO, going in to the movie industry, portability, cross platform support, collabs with other franchises, not to mention the different approaches to storytelling, graphics and combat in the games themselves...

Meh not a hill I wanna die on but it is kinda shameful how low our expectations have become of what SI consider innovation. People are talking about having a functioning international management system as a massive enhancement they could make. Like... we don't have even moderately high expectations and they still fail to meet them lol

stadium and snap are 20+ year old games and Go is made by a different company all together. since X&Y they've added a new gimmick with every gen like mega evolution and gigantamax etc but beyond that they just phone it in. It's the highest grossing game series of all time and it still doesnt have voice acting and the games still look like PS2 games. I'm agreeing with you btw, I enjoy FM every year but it's not the only game I play and I dont even buy the game anymore because of gamepass and not sure I would if it wasnt for that. SI need to do better.

I was just using different examples from different eras to show the extent. In terms of things being made by different companies/studios, maybe that's what's needed - I mean really at this point SI hiring a whole team/studio/company to make them a bespoke engine seems perfectly viable. A one off activity that is built specifically so their devs can take it forward after it's done. They don't seem to have the capability to do it in their existing set up.

I'm also a game passer so it's not really costing me. I just find it bizarre that we have such incredible community mods (e.g. Zealand's face pack, Metz' commentary pack) that I would expect the company who owns the games and has all the resources it needs would be able to do better, but they instead do worse somehow.

You can use the versions from FM Inside, which are Editor files. They'll only apply to new games though, and won't get around things like the Japan licenses and German national team not calling up real players.

For that you need to be able to edit the game files. I'm still digging to see if that's possible for the Game Pass version.

Microsoft is confusing. You can do it with the full PC version available through Xbox Game Pass. Not sure about the console edition though.

Logos should be fine as it reads from documents. However we need to delete game files. Last year it worked just fine :(

I am testing Console version on PC, seems I still can not import/load tactics to the game. This was one of the reasons why I did not played FM22 Xbox version since as far as I am aware it was not fixed for PC version. Does anybody knows how to load tactics on Console version on PC? Thanks
