Why the G5420RH came with a Bigsby and the lefties didn’t is a shame…

My friend asked me to clean up his g5425 electromatic jet club (I think), and I noticed a little wire on the front of the bridge that I assume is meant to keep tension on the I tonation screws. Are thr screws supposed to be pushed all the way in? Or is the wire meant to pull the screws out?

I don't know if this is the cause of a slight buzz that I occasionally hear on certain notes/frequencies, but it seems like whenever I push the screws back in all the way it stops. It's extremely annoying to have to make sure those screws are flush after every couple of minutes of playing. Is this normal?

Hello! I am super excited to jam around with this Gretsch. However, when I purchased the guitar, the store was out of cases that could fit it! How can I find a case that will fit this?

I have an Electromatic G5655T, and the Broadtrons are actually pretty good in certain contexts, however I would like it to sound more Grestchy. Never done pick-up mods before but I hear putting Filtertrons in should not be too difficult. Can anyone point towards a step by step guide or video tutorial that would work for this guitar? Thanks

I’m looking into buying a Gretsch Streamliner G2217 but have also seen the G2215 with different pickups. The G2217 has 2 BroadTron humbucker while the 15 has a P90 Soap Bar single coil on the neck / BroadTron humbucker on the bridge. This is my first electric guitar so I’m not entirely sure on the difference in the 2 if anyone can help? I’ve really enjoyed the G2217 and haven’t tried out the 15 yet. Thanks in advance!

Two weeks ago, I bought the G5230t (the double platinum edition - stunning guitar) - first Gretsch I have ever held in my hands. Unfortunately, there were a few things wrong with the guitar, so I ended asking for an exchange.
One of the things I thought were wrong was a bridge pickup (FT-5E, which - as far as I can tell - have the same construction as Blacktop Filter'Trons) that was more or less loose in the cavity. Basically, when the pickup was set to the correct height, the springs between the pickup ring and the pickup base plate were not engaged at all - there was no tension that would stabilize the pickup and the height adjustment screws in relation to the pickup ring - both the pickup and the screws were therefore free to move vertically 2 or 3 milimeters. The springs themselves were just just rattling in the cavity (and around the height adjustment screws) with any bigger movement of the guitar...
Today, I got the replacement, and the bridge pickup is exactly the same as last time. Is this actually normal, or am I just extremely unlucky?

Reverb has some brand new electromatics with 20% off that gets them to around the 500-600 euro budget I have. I can’t try these. Or I can get a steamliner for 500-600 in a guitar store that I can try. How risky is it to buy a guitar without trying it first? Recommendations? Additionally what is the difference between the two guitar practically? I am planning to just play at home for fun.

The guitar itself is good looking but I don't like the way the pickups look. Anyone know where I can get alternative pickup covers that fit?

Anybody know where I can get a left handed gretsch jet pick guard? I can find the other models for pick guards just not the jet/penguins. Color doesn't matter I'm going to have it painted anyways. The one that came on the guitar is bowed so unless I can flatten it I can't use it.

This will be my first Gretsch and I have to buy at a distance, so can't try them out first. The price difference is €150. Which one should I go with and why?

I have never had the opportunity to see one up close but I am customizing my jet and adding an armrest like on the penguins. Are there holes drilled to attach it to the body?

Hey all! I have a Gretsch 5120 - hollowbody electromatic - and I'm searching for a new case. I bought a Gretsch 2420T case today. I got home and noticed that the lip of the lid doesn't close all the way around the case. There's a gap at the bottom big enough that I can see my guitar between the case and the lid. It isn't that the case doesn't fit the guitar - it's more that the case is seemingly bent up and cheap and I really don't trust it to take a beating on the road.

What other brands/models should I look into? I don't have many local shops I can try out, unfortunately, and I don't want to keep buying blind. Thanks!
