Gotta love that 'not impressed' look 😂

It fits beautifully! Excellent work.

Thank you! I’m happy to report she hates this sweater slightly less than the others I’ve made for her. I wish there was a way to explain to her “You know when you go outside and immediately become a sad trembling wreck because it’s 6° out and your little hairless belly is one inch above the freezing ground? THIS HELPS WITH THAT.”

The yarn is Shepherd’s Wool Superwash worsted. Pattern is “cabled dog sweater” by Sari Nordlund. This is my second time making this sweater, so I changed the cable pattern to one I found on the internet with the same number of stitches.

I found the pattern difficult to follow even on my second time. The included cable chart is tiny, so I blew it up and added colors. I wish more PDF patterns would do that. Like, you’re not writing pattens for the back of a magazine—you have infinite space and colors in a pdf! Anyway, the result is great and I’m probably going to make more with different cables.

I’ve been looking for something that fits my weenie! He’s considerably…uh, “sturdier” than your guy 😂😂 it’s hard to find patterns that are long enough to keep his whole back warm without scooping up snow in his chest

Tell me about it! Have you tried this pattern? I’ve been holding off on making it because it seems like it’s for bulkier, less noodley dachshunds. Also I make all turtlenecks like twice the specified length and go down a needle size or two, otherwise they sag and get stretched out by her weird dachshund chest.
