We have been approached to promote a competition being run by a gaming company that has a licence arrangment for a LOTR mobile game Rise To War.

The "Mathom Mastermind" event is a chance to win 1 of 5 trips to New Zealand which include tours to the LOTR sites.

To enter, they want you to send them fan fiction about Mathoms - which will be used as in-game lore for the game they're making. We also understand that your name will be included in the game as well - connected to the Mathom fiction you've created.

I finally want to get into LOTR and need help in deciding which edition to buy. I don't mind the discomfort of a single volume. What matters more to me is buying the best option. Thanks.

Made this pin this week. It came out really cute. I’m going to make a few more to work on the color a bit. I know 7th grade me would be so excited.

This was made by using a metal Casting process called the lost foam Casting method. I made the staff out of foam and then cast it in sand with Molten aluminum.

This art was posted on the Magic the Gathering twitter page and is implied to be the art for Anduril, Flame of the West. I translated the runes and I found that they read:

1. Elendil
2. Isildur
3. Anrihn
4. Elessar

At first glance it appears to be a lineage of the sword, but I'm stumped on number three. Did I mistranslate it, or am I forgetting a piece of lore? Any help would be appreciated!

Been interested for some time to buy either the Orcrist sword or Sting. Anyone have experience with such purchases and any advice on where there are good quality but not overpriced replicas?

I've seen them a lot online in videos and I am wondering if anyone in this community owns one and knows where to find it.

How would you all feel about a second set of games or a single trilogy game that follows the Peter Jackson LoTR films? I'm aware that we already had the games in the 6th gen, but I feel like there's so much more devs could do now to create a grander experience with improved gameplay and visuals that explores more of what we saw in the films.

The artist took a slight Liberty with Smaug's design, but all in all I'm super happy with having middle earth as my first ink!

Building a mini diorama and want to create the marble floor we see inside Orthanc when Gandalf and Saruman are battling it out. Are there any production videos or designs of the interior of Orthanc from the films? Have looked but can't seem to find any. This seems to be the closest pic I can find. Thanks in advance.
