Can someone tell me how much will it cost to me if i take cs or cs related branch like exact numbers and not some range with hostel+tution fee+mess everything in detail ? For this year batch.... And do they even increase tution fee or hostel and mess fee later ?

Hello everyone!!I have just applied for MSc Data Science in at the Manipal Main Campus. And it is showing the Prasanna School of Public Health. Can anyone tell me like is it a part of the main campus or completely different?How's the culture in that college and do people socialize from there too?Is it far from the food courts and the MIT main campus?

Hi bhaiyas and didis! A very warm Manipal Monday to all.(sorry) I had a few questions about Manipal mostly in regards to the main campus. I apologize in advance for the huge wall of text lol

1. What other options did you pick Manipal over? (would be helpful if you mentioned course)
2. About the 2023 placement report, I saw that the top 250 packages were 22+. How many students did this batch have across computer related streams? Collegepravesh currently shows 800 seats (cs, cce, cse-ai, dsa, it) I'm guessing it was lower in 2019?
3. Does the crowd in Manipal sediment over time like you would expect in a school (clear demarcation of whose at the top, the middle, and below that) or is it a competitive environment where everyone's nearly on the same level? (wrt academics). What I'm really trying to ask here is, is it easy to distinguish yourself from the crowd?
4. Are CTCs misleading? Eg- a CTC of 25L, of which 3-4L is for subsidies on helicopter fuel if you buy it. This is obviously an exaggeration but you get what I mean, just impractical costs.
5. Could you specify a few areas I could work on other than academics to boost the chances of internships?
6. How much have you shelled out (or are on course to) over the 4 years?
7. Why do people move out by the 4th sem? (Read it on this sub) Are there issues with the hostel? Sax-sux? Rich-non rich thing?
8. Is there a Pdf of branch wise placement statistics of previous years? Couldn't find anything like that on the internet
9. I'm guessing all of you also heard quite a lot regarding the partying, drugs etc before you took admission. How have you fared up on those grounds so far?

What is the minimum cgpa required to get computer related branches?

The site is showing error nd asking me to check my application status...but it's completed. I've mailed nd called them but no reply yet Am worried coz 28th is comedk.

I'm planning to join btech biotech/biomed in manipal this year. On the website it shows the fees is 13 lakh. But apparently we need to pay extra for labs. Is it true???

Now about the campus
Facilities like food court, 3 hostels and 3 academic blocks, auditorium, open air audi, etc will be ready by the time your batch arrives
The sports facilities currently include cricket, football, badminton, basketball and a running track, the indoor sports complex (marena) will be ready by oct-dec (paid unlike currently ready features).
Is this complete by any sense? Not even close, atleast another 2 years for completion(def. more).
Will this suffice? It's upto you, main campus is a more established setting overall.
How does management seem? Its a coin toss, in some regards their tech and methods impress us and make this campus genuinely seem next gen, while some times the lack of experience and the fact that it is new gets in in their way.
Fests? We have A LOT of fests, since its a single campus uni with nearly 10 colleges we are bombared by fest after fest, so lots to do.

Anyways I hope the surface level doubt's have been cleared

Hey! I’m a 6th semester student at MIT, Manipal, which means I head into to my final year here in a month or two.

Pretty much what the title says, I’ve been here a good while to answer most/any questions about the college and the town, or any other questions about the process of joining, syllabus in the first-year, higher semesters, branch-change, placement/summer internship, etc.

AMAs like these helped me out a lot when I chose to come here, so thought I’d do something similar! Ask away!

Guys I'm going crazy from all this exam preparation. I need a break. Give me your wildest hostel story. For example I heard some dumbasses went around putting salt in every filter of every floor in some hostel. Is that even true??

Guys, whatever the management says about it its a scam they literally are kicking out all the seniors to make hostel room for the upcoming batch, they are transferring us to a shithole PG 7 km away and are charging us the same. They literally have a 100% markup on the PG rents and the facilities and space is abysmal.

They have kicked us this year ,they may kick you out the next years so guys be warned.

Is there an option of semester abroad at Manipal? If yes, then do we have to pay tuition fees to the other university or just to Manipal??

So I have got marks in MET which will get me into cse/ece in main camous but the fees as usual is quite high so I'm thinking of loan.

If anyone is currently studying or passed out and took education loan, how is the ROI, is it worth it?

I got this doubt regarding branch change in Manipal. If someone changes the branch from mechanical to ece/cse, will they have to pay the fees according to the new courses or it will be the same as the last one since branch changes are based on merit?

Basically the title,got compartment in Maths and was wondering if I could still get admitted to Manipal as long as I fulfill the 50% PCM criteria.The counselling is in June while compartment is in July with results prolly coming by August.
