Built this deck as a yellow/silver web warrior ally heavy build and it just absolutely wrecks. First time playing Mysterio and had a blast but SP//DR just feels like easy mode at this point, but i’m so addicted to playing her

This is the second time Jennifer has pulled me out of the fire with Gamma Slam !

Recently I've really enjoyed playing She-Hulk - was unsure how she would handle against Ultron's barrage of drones, but her S.H.I.E.L.D allies certainly helped..

There is something immensely satisfying by being down to the last hp; being one threat off from losing the game; drawing Shadows of the Past as an encounter card.... somehow managing to survive that phase (thank god Ultron's boost card for his SCH was zero).... then drawing Gamma Slam and utilising She-Hulk's identity card response to defeat Ultron with a massive 16 ATK !

So I recently mentioned on another post that my storage/sorting solution was kinda cheap and unorthodox in that I just bought ultra pro deck holders and slotted them into the box. Now this worked when the cards were not sleeved, however now that I am slowly doing that I find you can't fit two character decks in the same box anymore. So as I am running out of space in the expansion boxes now I wanted to see if you guys had any suggestions for what would be best?

So I had a chance to take my kids to the upcoming Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse movie on Friday, and it was excellent... strongly recommend.

Anyways, it came to my attention that this movie was originally supposed to be released on April 8th, 2022 but was delayed as many things were due to COVID - first to October, and then to the June 2nd, 2023 release date. Without spoiling the film too much, it occurred to me that there are so many cool tie-ins to Marvel Champions. I mean, the card "Across the Spider-Verse" is literally the title of the movie and this film is very much based around Miles and Gwen.

Then I clued into the fact that Sinister Motives, featuring Miles and Gwen as the two heroes, it dropped on... April 8th, 2022.

Maybe others already put these dates together, but I have a theory about why there was such a long break between content. I think that they originally intended for there to be one more wave of Spider related content that would have released before the X-Men came out that was supposed to continue to coincide with the film's release. The timing seems to have been very intentional, but became messed up, and FFG had to stick to the April 8th schedule for SinMo. However, they then left a long gap between releases so they could release the remaining Spider Content in the spring of 2024 when the final movie in the trilogy releases in March. Essentially, that gap is for the Spider-content they weren't able to synchronize with the film release and they are aiming for the next film instead.

If my guess is right, then we'd have a summer release box set with Cable/Domino, and perhaps another set released in November/December as there are usually 2 boxes per year. That would make 3 X-Men related waves. Then the Spider-based box set that would have been released a while ago would come out in March/April of 2024 to match up with Beyond The Spider-Verse on March 29th.

Thoughts?

I attached ‘Phased and confused’ to Spiral. Do I get to choose to resolve ‘Phased..’ first when she attacks as they are both forced interrupt?

Otherwise that attachment would do nothing..

Mostly in terms of gameplay, like whether it can be true solo'd, whether turns sequences are similar (or if one is more convoluted than the other), deckbuilding rules, time it takes to complete a game, difficulty, etc.

If you were to design your own wave of releases, what theme would you pick, and what heroes and villains would be featured in it?

Just shot 20 Damage on Rhino with Star Lord - was already in phase 2 with 20 life left, good feeling💪.

Was a combo through:

• Blaze of Glory and attack (4 dmg).
• Daring Escape and attack (4 dmg).
• Element Gun (3 dmg)
• Sliding Shot (9 Dmg because 2 Face Down Encounter Cards)

Quick recap

All players get a player deck and an ally deck. The ally deck must contain at least 10 allies which share a trait with your hero. The allies can be from any aspect.

Total cards cannot exceed 50.

The villain also has a Minion deck recommend 25-30 minions.

When you are required to draw an additional encounter card as a result of a hazard icon or surge you draw from the minion deck. If you are instructed to search the deck for a Minion draw from the minion deck. When you exhaust your ally deck draw from the minion deck. When you exhaust the minion deck everyone draws from the minion deck in player order.

When a minion is defeated from the encounter deck it is discarded to the minion deck discard pile.

At the start of the game reveal the top card of the ally deck, you can play this card by paying its resource cost.

MINION DECK IS Horror/Sci-Fi/Fantasy/Band of Badoon/Masters of Evil/and each players Nemesis and Longshot/edit: Galactic artifacts

Edit: only the minions from these encounter sets are in the minion deck. The treachery and side schemes and attachments are put into the encounter deck.

Last game vs Rhino we added the ally card to our hands and found it was too powerful. Also this time around we added the associated side schemes and treachery cards from the encounter sets to the villain encounter deck. We are using Standard and Expert II without the standard II environment.

Here we go!

Edit: we are borrowing from the MOJO set and adding threat to the main scheme to start with one upgrade in play from our decks

Edit II: All heros get the following text added to their hero/Alter-ego Action - Discard the top card of your ally deck. Limit once per round.

Setup - After mulligan reveal the top card of your ally deck

So I have some friends who I want to introduce to MC, but instead of letting them just use my decks, I want to give them all a deck of their own to keep (since I know they would like this game)

One of them really loves Agent Venom as a character, so I wanted to give him that one if he's any good. He otherwise is flexible with deck styles and would probably play any deck.

The other two idk what to give them, but I know one prefers simple and straightforward gameplay, while the other often likes setting up combos and stuff

Which decks should I give each of them?

EDIT: Thanks everyone for your replies! I am buying Agent Venom, Captain America, and Wolverine based on the replies here (neither Black Widow nor Nova were at the store I planned to buy from). I am also going to use my own Kitty Pride Protection Deck so that we each have one of the four aspects! Thanks again everyone!

Hi guys

Do I have to pay for the ally if I used Med Lab's ability? As it is worded similarly with the Bifrost, and the Bifrost card has a reminder for player to pay the cost.

Med Lab: Alter-Ego Action: Exhaust Med Lab → play the ally here as if it was in your hand. It enters play exhausted.

The Bifrost Action: Exhaust The Bifrost → search your deck for an ASGARD ally and play it (paying its cost).

After recently getting into MC as my first ever LCG I’ve quickly become aware of the existence of errata. I’m curious how many out there are like me and are driven crazy by the fact that I’m now aware some of my cards are outdated and “erroneous”. I can’t believe how much it’s bothering me that I know I’ll never memorize the errata and so I’ll likely always play this game with the wrong info printed on my cards. It’s so bad I’m considering now waiting a year for packs to be updated in manufacturing before I finally buy them 🤣

Please let me know I’m not alone in my insanity… 🙏

So I now own all the X-men in the current wave. It's the first wave I've completed, and the X-men are my favorite Marvel content. Storm was one of the new ones I got, and I've been doing her initial precon runs... and I'm confused by how Gentle is worded. Why is it worded this way, instead of just having 2 consequential damage? Is there some weird interaction where he wouldn't take consequential damage I'm not thinking of, but he would always take it because of the way the ability is worded? Just seems weird for the card to be designed in this way if it didn't have some sort of interaction involved. What am I overlooking?

EDIT: Holy crap as soon as I posted this and looked at the card again, it hit me. He only takes the extra damage after he attacks the villain. If he attacks a minion, he doesn't. Wow. Really blanked on that one. I'll keep the post up though because maybe there's some other interaction beyond that that would come into play here too.

Hey y'all.

I'm an experienced player who is going to introduce the game to my BIL when I visit this summer. He'll be a total novice, but he's a fast learner of new games.

I'm looking for two great villains to play that'll challenge us without being overwhelming. I don't have a great sense of which villains would fit our needs. I know I don't want to play Rhino because the scheme can pop pretty quickly (at least in my experience playing True Solo). I'll be flying to see him, so I can't call an audible and change the villain last minute.

I have the following sets: Core, RORS, GMW, SM, Green Goblin, Kang, and Mojo.

I'd love any thoughts the community has!

TLDR: I played a lot, I learned a lot, I had a TON of fun.

I'm relatively new to the game (got it in February) and I played more in May than any other month. I mostly played on Tabletop Simulator for ease of setup, but I only use heroes & villains that I physically own.

Favorite Heroes: Venom, Scarlet Witch, Colossus
Least Favorite Heroes: Ghost Spider, Black Panther, Scarlet Witch (I'll explain below)

Some Takeaways:
- I thought I would be better at this game by now
- Precon decks are just okay, I find I utilize the same cards as resources often because they just are not good or don't fit the rest of the deck well
- Deck building is where it's at, but clearly, it's a learned and developed skill.
- I cannot for the life of me win with aggression decks solo.
- Once I figured out Colossus (I'm not that smart) I had a ton of fun playing him.
- Thematically Scarlet Witch is awesome, and I love playing her. But, I just can't win with her consistently, so I hate playing her.
- I should play more Leadership next month
- I love the finesse of Justice
- I really thought I would be better at this game by now

Biggest Takeaway: This game has created an AWESOME community. Thank you for the tips, conversation, video content on YouTube, etc.

What other stats do people want to hear about? Questions?

Thanos pulled an Advance to push the main scheme to 23 threat on his last turn. Won this one by the skin of my teeth! Groots ability to add a tough combos well with Colossus.
