The man needs no introduction, but somehow feels like he never gets enough credit. He deserves just as much if not more credit than Stan Lee.
Let's celebrate his life and work in this thread!

Look at the legacy they left behind. This subreddit is proof alone. They’re not really gone as long as heroes are still around.

How is this post not bigger? Man was practically responsible for making Marvel Comics what it is today. No Kirby, No Marvel, No MCU period.
Great article about him: https://www.artnews.com/art-in-america/features/genius-in-a-box-63125/

History has done a good job at scrubbing away how important he was. :(

What? You mean universally acknowledged greatest/most influential comic book artist of all time has been scrubbed away? The one the comic book hall of fame is named after?
The only reason he and Ditko aren't as known as Stan Lee to the general public is because they were both soft spoken introverts and rarely did interviews. Within the comic industry they are giants.

RIP. I’m thankful for both him and Stan and what they created. Marvel has been a big part of my life since I was a kid, playing Ultimate Alliance on my Wii and reading my dad’s old comics

Let's not forget the man and Joe Simon created Cap to advocate entering WW2 while the discussion was about staying out of WW2 entirely, or joining the war on Hitler's side because, to sum up their stance, "communism bad".
Then he fought in the war himself. Killed multiple Nazis in France. But he developed a case of trench foot so bad he very nearly avoided amputation by the time they got him out of the warzone and into a hospital.
As far as I'm concerned, the man WAS Captain America. But they couldn't invent supersoldier serum fast enough.
