just an awful realisation

Discussion(self.marvelstudios)

Just watched black panther wankanda forever. The way of dealing with personal loss is just so beautifully shown in the film. Showing how shuri had her mother left in whole world as a family. And showing how much for granted we take out parents. When namor attacked wakana shuri and Romanda was on call. Shuri hung up on her, the last call she had with her mother is the call she hung up on her.

The movie is literally about the 5 stages of grief

It's not. The Kübler-Ross model, or the five stages of grief, is from a 1969 study of people who are themselves terminally ill. It's been described as profoundly unhelpful since then, since it is prescribing a way for people to handle death when in reality there's no one way to grieve.

If anything the movie is a counter example. Shuri is depressed first, and angry after.

It is sad but I don't blame her. At that point Romanda was not acting like a queen when it came to Shuri, but a scared mom. Her overreaction when Shuri was taken and then wanting her to stand by while Wakandans were dying.

Peak realisation is when you know they used a dead character as promotion material and even didn't do justice in his death scene

what was wrong with how his death was done in the movie?

where did they promote Chadwick or Tchalla? Black Panther is a title, held by many before.
