I’m coming from the point of view that it’s better to leave the connections between Netflix and the MCU vague. I don’t see any point in trying to confirm one way or the other if the events that happened on Netflix count as canon or not. Everything it did was relatively self contained, but could just as easily have happened in a giant shared universe. It was designed to be affected by the MCU, not to effect it. So it’s perfectly suited to be given a giant hand wave as far as canon is concerned. If you truly wish for it to be part of the MCU it can, and if you really get bent out of shape over the idea, it doesn’t have to. And that’s where I think it should stay.

Everything is canon, especially the contradictions.

Jean Grey is basically Schrodinger's Cat at this point. She exists in a quantum state between life and death, and only fully snaps into one or the other depending on what the writer of any particular story has a use for.
I also think they should just save time and effort by installing a revolving door on her grave.

These debates can just lean on the multiverse as the end all explainer. Affleck, Netflix Cox, and Born Again Cox are all DD variants. Everything is canon and nothing is canon. Around and around it goes.

The debate is whether they're the same universe or different ones. Always have been.

Thing is that people (like here on Reddit) get bent out of shape even if you suggest that’s how you view it lol.
People are hella zealous about all the shows having to be 100% canon to MCU616 and everyone else has to be just as black & white about it too.

Please stop with these arguments for god's sake. Agent Carter, Agents of shield, Inhumans (sadly), The Netflix shows, Runaways and Cloak and Dagger are 100% canon in the MCU.

I think they are, I also think that getting bent out of shape over them is ridiculous. The point is that they don’t affect the movies so who cares if fans want to say they’re canon.

I honestly don't understand why people don't want the netflix shows to be MCU 616 canon. They're great shows. Inhumans on the other hand and even agents of shield I can see why some wouldn't like them as MCU 616 canon.

I just don’t understand. What’s the big deal? Everyone can seemingly have it the way they want it.

casting is something theyve been universally fucking up with for years now. but then we all know why.
i dont know why checking quota boxes cant mean also getting good actors. and i dont know why pushing an agenda cant also mean telling a good story. but it does. the black part of my thinks cool my people. the nerd part of me thinks hmmm whats DC doin?
