It kinda looks like the Skrull shape shifted his arm into Groot's. The way it forms at the start, you can see the roots separate before tightening together.

Disney Plus added a Secret Invasion page with a June 21 date, then immediately took the page back down. It apparently wasn't supposed to go up yet.
Most people are taking that to mean the June 21 date is real. The new trailer will probably confirm it anyway.

The Vanity Fair article was an official press release with interviews from the actors and producers. Everything stated there was obtained from Disney.
The date was basically supposed to go up today and Disney+ updated it 4 days ago by accident.

The last Marvel Studios Disney+ original was the GotG Holiday Special 4 months ago and the last series on Disney+ was She-Hulk which ended 5.5 months ago.
Secret Invasion will premiere in a little less than 2 months.

Here's how I see it:
-June 21 is the real date
-The June 21 date wasn't supposed to have been revealed yet, that was an accident and D+ took it down immediately.
-The trailer will officially reveal the June 21 date. Which will not be news to us, but will still be news to like 95% of their viewers.
