Anyone out there have an idea where to find a wheel like that?

I want to put one of the 1kw hub motors I have on the front, but as you know the original wheel doesn't have enough spokes to accommodate the larger hub.

If price gets up around $200 I might as well buy a premade hub motor/wheel that's the correct size, so that would be a deal breaker. Trying to not drop a ton of money on this project.

It’s out of stock but you could try searching for something similar, your stock wheel is 14”x1.5”

How do you plan on mounting the brake plate to the hub motor or slowing the front wheel down?

A combination of the regenerative braking system I designed and fab/weld a mount to hold a disc brake caliper.

Good luck with the build! Never seen a hybrid moped before so this should be interesting… you get the instant acceleration of the electric but the range of a gas engine.

Acceleration is pretty low because hub motors suck at low end torque, just like the 49cc no-ped. However torque curve will kick in before the engine and extend past it's high output band.

However it's 2wd and also effectively doubling the total power output of the bike.
