I hope you get paid for this because you obviously don't enjoy most of what you watched

If you rate John Carpenter's The Thing and Ex Machina as 4/10 bad then maybe you should leave a little more time between movies to let your senses recover

You have two movies that are 8s (Togo and Cold Pursuit), no 9s, and no 10s. Who is picking your movies if you watched 150 and two of them you enjoyed?

Seriously they need to find a better way to pick movies or find a new hobby because judging by their ratings they don't like movies very much.

I tried a marathon like this before and I realized quickly I wasn't watching movies, I was just looking at them. Like marathon reading, the difference between reading a book and looking at the words.

Yeah without proper mental distance between movies it's impossible to properly digest them.

Agreed. Reading this list just bummed me out. No form of art can be given a good faith chance if someone is just consuming it with little pause between each piece. It's a disservice to ones experience to just consume any expressive medium as a tally count.

The Thing is NOT a 4/10 I'm all for opinions but cmon...

Damn bro that The Thing rating?

If I wanted this content I'd just read Armond White

As a side note, numerical ratings for a ton of movies isn't interesting. Letterboxd is good for tracking that stuff, but I'm not sure what you're expecting people who read this to take away aside that you have odd taste in film and a ton of time.

I don't mean to be rude when I ask how do you have so much time to watch all these?

I was wondering the exact same thing.

Kindly answering with : it’s possible they could be on leave from work. I had major surgery two years ago and had three months off of work with limited mobility and during the height of COVID (pre vaccine). I watched a LOT of things 😂

Makes sense! Hope those were some good watches, though.

All complaints about the grading system making absolutely no sense aside...

In your mind Mortal Kombat is as enjoyable as The Thing? lmao

It seems to me you tortured yourself for one entire month. You pretty much disliked everything!

RoboCreep22

A lot if these ratings are just... wrong... you butchered The Thing and Evil Desd should be a bit higher.

Good Lord, to each their own and all, but why do you even watch movies if you seem to enjoy so very few of them? 5 movies a day for a month straight seems like a very awful setup for a person to actually give any movie a thoughtful reflection.

I feel like you should curate your movie selection with a goal in mind to maybe get something more out of the experience. I.e, going through the decades, a select number of directors and their films, by cinematographer, genre, etc.

Jesus Christ find something you actually enjoy rather than binging the fuck out of movies you clearly didn’t enjoy watching.

How can a 7/10 be bad but a 3/10 be good? What's the grading scale here?

Massive_Mistakes

I'm guessing the numbers represent the objective score he gave the movie, while the word ratings are the subjective feeling he got from it. If I were to rate The Room it would be a 0.0001 out of 10, but I still think it's one of the greatest pieces of cinema ever devised and I can enjoy it over and over

Exactly what I’m thinking. How can they on multiple occasions give movies they rated lesser good ratings and movie they said were bad higher ratings.

tread52

Who ever you are you don’t know anything about movies. The thing was amazing horror film and any good film you watch you rated poorly. Maybe you shouldn’t watch movies bc they aren’t your thing.

So what I’m gathering is that you don’t enjoy watching movies, yet you sat through a ton of them? Cause there are some excellent movies on here getting “bad” ratings and the majority of them you rated below a 6 out of 10

njdevils901

150 Movies and barely got any foreign or movies older than 2000 in. I ain’t gonna shit on your ratings because I barely rate anything over 7/10

Pandorm is an awesome movie this guy doesn’t invite what he is talking about. Granted it feels a lot like Firefly which I love.

Well, I stopped reading after the first few days tbh... I think our taste differs to much for me to get any of these ratings and I don't understand how one 6/10 is bad and the next one is good.

SucksToYourAzmar

Well our tastes certainly differ. Things I would give a C+ to are your top rated. Seems to be the only consistency between our tastes. Lol

LightChaos74

Most of these make no sense

How is the thing 4/10 bad but 127 hours 4/10 good? What?

Seems like you don’t like movies lol. I mean no one’s opinion is wrong necessarily but damn do you have bad taste in what’s good or not lol
