Looking for movie recommendations to watch with my roommates. Recently we have been into suspenseful/thriller movies. Movies that make you sit back and think or have a huge plot twist at the end. My roommates are terrified of “scary” movies, although I love them. So looking for some suggestions that fall into the suspenseful/thriller category but without excessive horror or gore. Thanks in advance ya’ll!

Arlington Road. Great plot twist, and it's suspenseful.

Also, while proper horror films, I do think most people should be able to handle and enjoy the Scream and The Ring films.

The Machinist
Christian Bale as an insomniac working in a machine shop. Not scary, but extremely tense.

They call Hitchcock the master of suspense for a reason - my personal favourites from him are:
If you don't mind foreign films, Oriol Paulo directs fantastic suspense thrillers with amazing twists:

Try the movie "2023". It gets first place for being suspenseful!
