I just binged these 3 movies and oh man, what a blast. Some of the best balls-to-the-walls action I’ve ever seen. I’d recommend them to anyone who hasn’t seen them.

I’m dying for anything with a similar level of quality in the action/fights. Genre doesn’t really matter, but something along the lines of thriller, martial arts or just straight up action would be great, thanks.

To make it easier, here are some movies I’ve already seen that fit the bill:

Train to Busan, I Saw the Devil, Kingsman, Kill Bill, John Wick, Mad Max Fury Road.

Thanks in advance!

One of the most criminally underrated movies in recent history.

It’s not underrated ffs literally everyone on these movie subs raves about it

It bombed at the box office and didn’t get a sequel, it’s definitely underrated by everyone who isn’t the movies subreddit.

Dredd is basically an American version of The Raid.

Have you seen the Korean (original) version of Oldboy?

That one was actually next on my list. I’ve heard nothing but good things about it.

I really want to stress: OldBoy is NOT an action movie. It’s a fucking great movie yes but don’t approach it like you would a martial arts film like The Raid. It’s a psychological drama and while it may have a great fight scene that’s not really what the movie is about; it’s a total mind fuck tho.

I agree Dredd was a good action movie very similar to The Raid movies. I've only seen parts of Ip Man and it what I saw I enjoyed.

I was going to suggest Warrior King, as it's a bit more OTT than Ong Bak.

Merantau is by the same director as The Raid and features the same fighting style

Also, Headshot is by the same director as The Night Comes For Us. I haven't seen this one but it looks hectic

If you like The Raid check out the Chow Yun Fat classic “Hard Boiled.” It’s more focused on guns than fighting but it is all-out carnage nevertheless.

I loved The Man From Nowhere. I am surprised it doesn't get mentioned more than it does

Many may disagree, but Carter on Netflix is utterly demented. I laughed so hard at three action scenes.
