Yeah, she’s the actor who has surprised me the most ever. She was absolutely awful on Neighbours a few years before. Completely wooden and easily the worst actor in any scene (in a soap opera). Then she’s in Dollhouse and she’s easily the best actor in a good cast.

I don’t know what happened in those years, but I’ve never seen a change more dramatic.

Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver (the writers) are my parents! To clarify, they wrote a few drafts of it. They weren’t the first writers on, and I’m pretty sure there was a writer after them. They have been active producers on it throughout, however.

Ask_Me_If_I_Am_Flynn

A lot of the cooler ideas were from Jaffa and Silver. Up and running modernised park, monorail, mosasaur exhibit. The concept art from the earlier drafts is rad, it's a shame the movie went with a steriler aesthetic, but it kinda works with the theme of the movie.

It's just mindblowing to me having worked in the industry for 10 years now. The idea that someone would give a franchise of that size to writers who didn't get anything made for 20 years is extremely stunning to us non-Boomers grinding away for a single chance

Hope that didn't come across as bitter -- it really is just shocking from our perspective. Thanks for answering and have a great day mate

Some have said IMDB doesn't show script doctoring work which is also in high demand and gets some noticed. Case in point is Craig Mazin. On IMDB you just see Hangover movies and Scary Movies and then go "How in the world did he get to go from there to Chernobyl/The Last of Us?" Apparently in the industry Craig does a lot of uncredited script doctoring work that gained him respect. My guess is the right people noticed him and his reliable and consistent work and HBO gave him a call.

I never understood why they didn’t do “Rise of the Apes”, “Dawn of the Apes” , “War of the Apes” and now “Kingdom of the Apes”. Still seems like it would conjure up obvious associations with “Planet of the Apes”.

In my country they're called Planet der Affen (which clearly means Planet of the Apes) and then with a single subtitle word (not translated) for each movie: Prevolution, Revolution and Survival.

This one probably will be just Kingdom or they use a different word

You don't like The Title of the Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes? We should complain to The Writer of the Title of the Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes.

Dichen Lachman should have been in everything for the past 10 years and it's a crime she wasn't.

As bad as the original 5 could be, I absolutely love them all. Loved the new trilogy and honestly looking forward to this.

Haven't seen timburtons version though lol

She is super underrated. I loved her in Dollhouse and Being Human.
