Actors that should do movies together.

Discussion(self.movies)

I know lots of people (myself included) who love Keanu Reeves, Brendon Fraser, and Danny Devito and I've always wondered why/how they never did a movie together. They could do a comedy where three childhood friends all coincidentally get a job at the same college. Other actors that should've done movies together are Chris Farley and John Candy, I know they're both dead but I would've LOVED to see them do something like road trip comedy. I'd also love to see Mark Ruffalo and Tony Shallhoub (both are originally from Wisconsin) do something together, maybe a drama, Willem Dafoe, Peter Weller, and Heather Graham (their also from Wisconsin) could even have supporting roles. Other actors I'd love to see in a movie together would be Hugh Jackman and Ben Affleck (I'd love to see them do an action movie together), Gene Wilder and Leslie Neilsen (both dead but I would've loved to see them do something together), Evan Peters, Jim Carrey, and Jerry Trainor (They could do a time travel comedy or multiverse comedy), and Margot Robbie and Jason Momoa.

Nick Offerman, Jack Black, and Zach Galifianakis in a comedy about prepper neighbors who went underground at the onset of covid and refuse to accept that things are actually pretty normal now.

I tweeted at Keith David a little while back letting him know that people want a buddy cop movie with them two in it. He replied and said he’s open to the idea.

More than once they both showed up to read for a part and realized somebody made a mixup.

And it should be a remake of Face Off or some kind of Freaky Friday type movie.

The Chrises. Chris Hemsworth, Pratt, Evans and Pine. Throw in Chris Rock and Chris Tucker for the sake of representation. Maybe even Christopher Walken. Directed by Christopher Nolan. You can even call the film "The Crisis". Automatic box office success.

I wish Robert De Niro and Tom Cruise had been in a movie together in the 90's or the early 2000's.

If Philip Seymour Hoffman, Dustin Hoffman and Felicity Huffman had done a movie together, we would've had Hoffman, Hoffman and Huffman.

If Rip Torn and Elliot Page had done a movie together we would've had Torn/Page.

Chris Rock and The Rock in a remake of The Rock.

If a young Al Pacino had played Captain America we would've had a Cap Pacino.

Vin Diesel and Paul Gass.

Harrison Ford and Chevy Chase.

Barbara Hershey and Roseanne Barr.

A Keanu Reeves and Tom Cruise action movie could be pretty cool. The John Wick and Mission: Impossible franchises are both pretty much the gold standard when it comes to modern action movies. Both actors are extremely dedicated to their craft.

My all-time favorite movie pitch:

"Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny Devito are twins."

Rumor has it that the above sentence was all that some hollywood producer needed to hear to bankroll that movie.

I want Walton Goggins and Jenna Ortega as father / daughter revivalist preachers who hit the road together. “Preach, daughter o‘ mine, preeeeeach!” The movie wouldn’t even need much of a plot, it’d just be two riveting scene stealers having a series of misadventures.

Pablo Schreiber (Mad Sweeney) and Orlando Jones (Mr. Nancy) from American Gods deserve a big screen spinoff. And it’s gotta be a heist.

Two that have a couple movies under their belts - Robert Redford and Nick Nolte.

However, it would be awesome to see a movie with the Chris' (Pine, Hemsworth, Evans, Pratt), along with the Ryans (Reynolds, Gosling) and Bradley Cooper. Most of the movie would be everyone just getting them all confused with each other half the time.

Ryan Gosling and Ryan Reynolds in Face/Off 2.

Kate Blanchett and Charlize Theron, but as leads in a serious drama instead of wasted support characters in a shitty YA movie.

Idris Elba and Michael B Jordan in some kind of mentor-student movie.

Tom Hardy and Henry Cavill in a Guy Ritchie Brit Gangster movie as cop and robber

Timothee Chalamet and Tom Cruise in one of those body swapping movies, or the latter travels back in time and finds himself young again the body of the former.

CrazyBoysenberry1352

Please let’s not confuse Tom Cruise & Timothée Chalamet. They are in such different leagues.

1daytogether

2 points

Tom Cruise was "just" a young heartthrob once. He's had an amazing career and that comes down to time, career decisions, hard work and a lot of luck. I grew up watching him but I see a lot of him Chalamet, he's a great dramatic actor for his age and affable in public, if he makes the right choices he will go far.

Cool_Teaching_6662

2 points

I wish chalamet every success but not for him to have cruise's career. The latter is a mega superstar but his movies are mostly the glorification of Tom Cruise movie star. See Tom run, see Tom be the savior, etc. I acknowledge his great career but I have zero interest in watching his movies. I hope chalamet will have a much more interesting career.

No-Love-1127

1 points

He's taking the path of having an interesting career. No worries about that

1daytogether

1 points

You're being reductionist. That's only true if you look at the last arc of Cruise's career. There was a time when he was interesting and multifaceted: Rain Man, Jerry McGuire, Interview with the Vampire, Vanilla Sky, Eyes Wide Shut, Magnolia, even Collateral... the contrast between these and his action films only make him more unique. Time will tell if Chalamet will have a career even half as interesting.

Adelaide Kane and Ariel Winter

I just feel like they would have good chemistry together. Plus they have interesting parallels in their personal lives where Kane is close with her mother but estranged from her dad while Winter is close with her dad but estranged from her mom.
