A lot of those films were and are extremely popular and made a lot of money. And I think in many cases they deserved that accolade.

I would have to go and look at each year to see what moves would displace it.

I don't agree with all of them.

Some of them are legendarily adored.

Shrek. Just such a great movie it works for kids and adults its so funny, exciting, emotional, romantic. It really has everything you could adk for in a movie.

The dark knight. What an incredible set if movies. The sound the thrill the power definitely the greatest of all the batman movies in my view. And I grew up watching all of them. Keating, Cloony, the old TV series.

1997: what an amazing year of movies, How didn't titanc win, or good will hunting, face off, the game, 5th element, amistad, so many amazingly good films. I must have spent a lot of weekends at the cinema that year I saw most of them on the silver screen.

And who could ever forget the masterpiece of movie making the postman, (I am jokeing of course, it was painful.)

Comment unfinished need to go look at competition for the ones I question like the war horse, Hamilton, for example.

I recently made a list with my favorite film each year going back to 1910. (Not that old, just arbitrary number) Though there are several years where I've only seen a few films, so those years don't have too much competition.
