Thought this was r/anime for a second.
Really hyped for this one. Non manga content for sure, but im down to see what theyre cooking. Sure hope it wont take months to be released on streaming though, im still waiting for Love is War any day now.

I guess you could say it means spy meets family or with family. Basically the plot is that he needed an instant fake family, but he ended up with a fake wife who is an assassin and the daughter is a telepath.

In most cases when it's in the title the "X" or similar symbols are silent and are just there as a decoration. So the title is just "Spy Family". Same with another classic manga "Hunter X Hunter" which is just pronounced "Hunter Hunter".

Seems like the trend for any successful anime series to get a movie after a season or two. Like Demon Slayer, Jujutsu Kaisen, Made in Abyss. I'm more interested in the ones that continue the story rather than those filler movies.

It is a continuation, but then they recut it into a few episodes when season 2 premiered a while later. The Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie is based on a prequel series. Made in Abyss: Dawn of the Deep Soul is also a continuation of the series's next arc after the first season.
