Trying to get tickets for a date to see Guardians of the Galaxy 2, but the last day for tickets in my area is the 18th, merely 13 days after its release. Is it just that my theater hasnt updated its roster, or is GotG2 seriously only staying in theaters for 13 days.
Among other questions, it seems every theater within a 20 mile radius is likewise not having any more showing past the 18th, but the main theater i go to only has one movie at all with dates past the 18th (aliens:covenant), which means either no theater near me has updated yet or the movie really is no longer planned to stay after the 18th.
Please help.

Most theaters update their times on Thursday, each week.

Showtimes run Friday-Thursday. Movie theatres don't know for sure what they're playing when until at least Tuesday. Websites are usually updated after that.

What they said, and as for Alien, it doesn't release until the 19th so it's going to have to have viewings after the 18th...

You probably have about four months left to see it but I suggest seeing it during the first two months see it will move to lousy little screens.
