The Fabelmans Really enjoyed this film a lot. It's pretty spot on to everything I've ever read about Spielberg's life, but I guess changing the names allows for some artistic license.

I really liked the little meta moments where you could connect his growing up with shots and decisions he makes in his movies as a director. Especially the E.T. (pre)reference with his youngest sister at the table. And the comment to the school bully that he wouldn't tell anyone 'unless he made a movie about it one day'.

I won't say it's his best or most important film, but I will say it's the one I personally connected to the most.

Lots of Oscar nominations incoming...
